OBJECTIVES:

• Contributes to design, development and execution of research assignments, potentially contributing to multiple projects
• Delivers data to project teams as required
• Prosecutes in vitro biology experiments as designed and outlined by Supervisor

How you will contribute:

ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Lab based position
• Initiates investigation of new experimental approaches to a wide range of problems using scientific theory and technical literature
• Contributes to functional problem resolution and objective setting
• Interprets results of complex experiments, and integrates data produced by other disciplines
• Coordinates scientific programs in collaboration with other BTUs or external CROs
• Contributes to functional scientific discussion

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• PhD degree in Neuroscience with post doc experience
• Background knowledge in neurobiology
• Expert in hiPSC-derived microglia/astrocytes/neuronal cellular systems and their genetic manipulation
• Expert in developing functional assays using iPSC-derived in vitro models
• Experience in 2D and 3D cell cultures for drug screening and drug validation
