Intern - Engineering

We have a Summer Internship available for Engineering Undergraduate or Graduate students at our Monmouth Junction, NJ facility. This is an approximately 40 hours/week position.

Reporting to, and collaborating closely with, Facilities and Engineering Managers and other departmental colleagues, you will support operational needs and activities of the Facilities and Engineering groups in order to successfully achieve goals and metrics across multiple engineering functions including, but not limited to: equipment qualification activities, calibrations, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programming, etc. 

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Under close supervision of Facilities and Engineering Managers, performs, and assists with, Equipment Qualification activities while complying with cGMP, SOPs, FDA and other company requirements

• Designs and builds electrical/pneumatic control panels for equipment

• Supports and assists with PLC programming

• Performs necessary and routine calibration on equipment, as needed 

• Creates and updates engineering drawings (mechanical, electrical and facility layouts) using AutoCAD, as needed

• Assists Facility Project Engineers with various construction and special projects, as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

· Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or a related discipline 

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 

• Analytical thinking with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

• Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects
