Just is seeking a motivated and creative Scientist who desires a significant opportunity to improve worldwide access to biotherapeutics. In this position, you will work with a multidisciplinary team for the analytical and functional biocharacterization of large molecule therapeutics and analysis of process impurities. Experience with immunoassays and potency methods is required. Additionally experience with high-throughput methods and liquid handling is beneficial. The successful candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills and is interested in ways to improve technology. The ability to multitask and to work both independently and in teams in a fast-paced collaborative environment is necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Development and implementation of biological characterization assays
- Development and qualification of cell-based and ELISA potency methods
- Performing impurity immunoassays and qPCR methods
- Routine testing of analytical samples
- Documentation and technology transfer of applicable assays
- Participate in cross functional molecule development teams
- Technology development to improve throughput and efficiency
Education Requirements:
- BS in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cellular Biology, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemistry or related field and 5+ years of experience OR PhD with 0-5 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bioassay and immunoassay development and troubleshooting experience
- Use of liquid-handling automation applications
- Experience in method qualification and transfer
- Strong oral and written communication skills
The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $80,000 to $105,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.
