Job Details

As a Director, Publications Management you will own the strategic development and delivery of our impactful publications in multiple diverse assets/product indications. We collaborate with cross-functional teams, healthcare professionals, scientists, study investigators, authors, alliance partners and medical communication agencies developing strategic, impactful, scientific publication plans. Manage compliant tactical implementation of publication plans, associated budgets, and review/write publications. 

A typical day may include the following: 
Providing strategic insights and global tactical support for a growing pipeline of assets, including but not limited to cardiovascular/metabolism, infectious disease, neurology, ophthalmology, and rare diseases
Leading all aspects of and provide hands-on support in management, generation and dissemination of clinical and non-clinical data. 
Collaborating with partners on developing publications spanning all stages of the product life cycle
Leading and presenting at cross-functional publication meetings (with alliance partners, as needed) developing and implementing the strategic publication plans. This will involve the timely and efficient development, review and submission of conference abstracts, posters/presentations, manuscripts and associated innovative digital content
Guiding publication vendors, contract/internal writers/editors, and travel to conferences as needed
Managing budgets, transfer of value reporting, and monitor metrics
Developing a deep scientific understanding of the therapeutic area; additionally, should possess an understanding of clinical study design, statistics, pharmaceutical research & development related statistical analysis plans and clinical study reports
Maintaining process efficiency and innovation for impactful publications, within budget resources 
Driving publication related insights gathering, evidence generation, innovative data visualization and digital outputs for extended reach across diverse audiences, consistent with program development needs, emerging data, and evolving landscape

This may be for you if you have:
•    Experience working on publications for multiple therapeutic areas
•    Led projects collaboratively with internal and external partners
•    Driven project to successful completion

To be considered you are required to have a Life sciences related MS, PharmD, or PhD or MD equivalent along with demonstrated excellence in publications management for over 6 years. Excellent knowledge of and compliance with Good Publication Practices (GPP3), ICMJE guidelines, CONSORT, Sunshine Act, is required. Leadership in successful completion of impactful publications and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects efficiently and in a timely manner is needed. Experience working with publication databases/software

The salary ranges provided are shown in accordance with U.S. law and apply to U.S. based positions, where the hired candidate will be located in the U.S. If you are outside the U.S, please speak with your recruiter about salaries and benefits in your location.

Salary Range (annually)

$172,500.00 - $287,500.00
