About the role:

The Sr. Warehouse Coordinator reports to the Supply Chain Supervisor. You will execute all processes in the warehouse while strictly following cGMP, environmental health, and safety guidelines and other related regulations. You will perform the hands-on execution of all activities in the warehouse area. Also, responsibilities include performing scheduled activities for Shipping, Destruction, and Inventory Management in strict compliance with GMP, EHS, and Takeda Quality System. You will apply technical knowledge to perform complex trouble shooting tasks.

How you will contribute:

  • Supports all local Manufacturing Plasma Operations.

  • Create and manage physical and electronic plasma shipping and receiving for the US and international markets.

  • Performs order status inquiries for all completed orders. Adjusts orders as necessary when damages or shortages occur.

  • Maintain department metrics reports and identify opportunities for enhancement.

  • Create and manage open PO’s in Ariba for customer invoicing.

  • Ensure all obsolete material are discarded according to company policy.

  • Participate on teams and assist management with continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency.

  • Order and cancel trucks as necessary for shipping and receiving.

  • Create and investigate safety related beacons.

  • Fills and prepares inventory for transportation and monitors the progress throughout shift to assure efficient completion of duties.

  • Performs physical counts, cycle counts, and periodic inventory verification.

  • Direct carrier drivers on empty trailer dropping and load pick-up processes.

  • Completes bill of lading, packing list, seal assignment and bar code assignments for each order.

  • Completes relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines and operate in compliance with FDA, OSHA, and MSDS.

  • Perform removal of hazardous waste.

  • Takes the lead in resolving discrepancies between production and warehouse concerning inventory counts and other issues.

  • Responsible for resolving any discrepancies between the shipper’s packing list and quantities received before being entered into the warehouse management system.

  • Participate and may lead departmental projects.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED. 4+ years of related work experience or AA degree or higher and 2+ years related work experience.

  • Must be able to carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted and lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance.

  • Must be able to push/pull > 100 lbs. (with the assistance of material handling equipment).

  • Must be able to operate or willing to train on powered industrial truck

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time over an 8 or 12-hour shift.

  • May require bending, twisting, reaching overhead, and/or squatting motions to perform certain tasks.

  • Proficient in warehouse management systems.

  • Must be able to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Important Considerations

At Takeda, our patients rely on us to create quality products and we aim to create a safe environment for our team members. As a result, we must follow strict rules in our manufacturing facilities to ensure we are not endangering the quality of the product or putting anyone at the site in harm's way. In this role, you may:

  • Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.

  • Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.

  • Work in a cold, wet environment.

  • Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.

  • Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
