Job Title: IT Systems Engineer, Global MES

Location: Covington, GA

Takeda has embarked into a digital journey to promote the best processes in manufacturing and supply chain. As part of the Digital, Data & Technology core, we are deploying manufacturing execution systems (MES) across our global manufacturing network. You will be IT System Engineer, Global MES. This worldwide initiative is supervised by a Global MES Team to guide the system design, development, installation, validation, support and maintenance.

How you will contribute:

• Participate in the design, evaluation and testing of the next MES supporting technologies for the MES System such as Orchestration platform, Operating System, Database, Client virtualization technology and deployment tools.
• Define and drive automation of MES platforms deployment on premises (plants in Europe, USA and Asia) in close relationship with local teams.
• Define MES platforms in Takeda AWS Cloud.
• Draft technical specification document and procedure related to infrastructure deployment and system maintenance.
• Develop validation protocols to ensure system are deployed as specified
• Travel: approximately at most 10%

What you bring to Takeda:

• Bachelor's / master's degree in IT/engineering
• 1 or more years IT experience preferably in the field of Pharmaceutical, food & beverage or chemical industries.
• Experience with Red Hat and Windows Server operating systems
• First experience with DevOps tools such Ansible and Docker, Kubernetes, Citrix , Oracle Server, VMware, Monitoring Solutions, Red Hat Satellite.
• Solid team player
• Knowledge of the GMP systems development life cycle and Change Management processes.
• Analytical skills
• Will work within a globally dispersed team setting.

• Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
• Need to remove all make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
• Work in a cold, wet environment.
• Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours, as necessary.
• Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.
