The Head of IT Omnichannel and US Business Engagement will be a key member of the Commercial IT Leadership team, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial IT and responsible for overseeing functions including:

Basic Qualifications:
The salary range for this position is: $199,835.00 - $258,610.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.

Specific Responsibilities & Skills:
The Head of IT Omnichannel and US Business Engagement will be a key member of the Commercial IT Leadership team, reporting directly to the Head of Commercial IT and responsible for overseeing functions including:
- Core Competencies: Demonstrated accountability and ownership, able to thrive in ambiguity, manage without domain expertise, a self-starter with excellent stakeholder/people management, negotiation and influencing skills across global enterprise cultures, demographics, and geographies.
- Leadership: Demonstrate visionary thought leadership across current and future Commercial business/IT subject areas with a special focus on Omni Channel domain, and future facing technologies within Omni Channel in the Pharma industry
- Omni Channel Domain Expertise: Is globally accountable for all things and all Omni channel capabilities within Commercial IT. This includes all facets of strategy, operations, delivery, people, technologies within the Omni channel pillar in Commercial IT globally
- US Business Engagement: Is the single point of contact accountable for US Commercial business engagement and stakeholder management across core functional Commercial IT pillars of Commercial Excellence, Omni Channel, Value & Access. This includes engagement and perception management across US and global commercial business stakeholders and leaders
- Financial Management: Is accountable for financial management, stability, and transparency of portfolio across the department and project portfolio within Commercial IT. This includes budgeting, forecasting, alignment with and solutioning for overall IT and Commercial IT financial targets etc.
- Roadmap Planning/Execution: Able to create, recommend, obtain approval, establish and execute strategic/tactical 1-3-5 year roadmaps across Omni Channel. Must demonstrate repeated success in strategic and operational delivery of global enterprise level programs within Commercial IT managing large pools of resources, and multi-million budget management within Omni Channel and other Commercial IT domains
- Strategic Architecture and Technology Acumen: Demonstrates very strong strategic technology-oriented acumen within Commercial IT domain. Knowledge of key technologies, applications, capabilities and trends within Commercial IT is essential. Understanding of the big picture of how Omni Channel capabilities interact with and relate to other parts of Commercial IT and broader IT landscape is a must
- Organization Effectiveness: Demonstrate expert level knowledge, experience and proven navigational and change management skills across centralized/decentralized/global/regional/global-local/product-oriented constructs and operating models within enterprise organizations going through transformations across multiple disciplines and domains. Must demonstrate and be willing to work across both strategic and operational areas of the organization
- Data Management Skills: Strong understanding of all things Data within Commercial business/IT landscape. This includes but is not limited to data structures and data related capabilities in master and reference data, data management and governance, analytics and reporting areas.
- Trend Analysis, Benchmarking and Innovation: Demonstrate cross industry knowledge of implementable use cases and opportunities across functions, trends and benchmarks (metrics/cost) to advance competitive advantage within Omni Channel and other related commercial domains
- Negotiations and Vendor Management: Demonstrated success in vendor management and negotiation skills with large scale enterprise level vendors within Commercial space
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
General responsibilities for this position will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Collaborate with business partners and customers to identify business needs and prioritize resources/effort on evolving capabilities for delivery and future strategic positioning.
- Stakeholder management across key US and global leadership within Commercial Operations, Therapeutic Areas, Marketing, Brand and Product teams
- Strong understanding of Gilead's Commercial business strategy, leverage skills and experience to influence direction for competitive advantage.
- As a member of Commercial IT Leadership team, collaborate with peers and other leaders to ensure effective organization management across all functions of Commercial IT
- Invest in and build strong, collaborative relationships with business partners, peers within Commercial IT and across other IT functions to ensure sustained success across all functions.
- Team and people management of Omni Channel global team within Commercial IT
- Financial management of Commercial IT budget management from a department and projects perspective
- Serve as primary point of technology engagement with business partners on requirements definitions within Omni Channel. Participate on business strategy and capabilities as intake for PMO, & Technology Roadmap, budgeting and planning as it relates to Omni Channel and beyond
- In alignment with Commercial IT leadership team establish a consistent domain architecture for Omni Channel across all quadrants of enterprise architecture
- Partner with Enterprise Data & Analytics team for data needs and capabilities as it relates to Omni Channel
- Influence customers to realize Business Value/Outcomes from technology investments in current and future capabilities within Omni Channel
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience and BS in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent experience OR 8+ years of relevant experience, with a M.S. in a related field
- 10+ years in IT and/or business teams within Pharma industry
- 6+ years within Commercial IT domain
- 6+ years in a leadership role managing technical and non-technical teams within IT
- Strong hands-on knowledge on key enterprise level platforms and applications like SAP, Sales Force, Veeva, Adobe etc.
- Demonstrated experience in next gen enterprise commercial capabilities within Pharma industry
