SAP Principal Solution Architect - Extended Warehouse Management

We are looking for an experienced SAP Logistic delivery lead to be a shipping and warehouse management solution architect. You are eager to join us and lead our S/4 HANA Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) journey as part of advancing strategic capabilities to enable digitalization, faster decision making & speed to/in the market. Using SAP Extended warehouse management architecture standards and through alignment of digital strategy and solutions to business outcomes, you will optimize the value of our technology investments, crafting new value for our staff, our business partners, our shareholders, and most importantly our patients

As an SAP EWM Solution Architect you will:

  • Be accountable for helping drive the successful design, architecture, build, test, and implementation of the technology solution across all the Amgen manufacturing and distribution sites

  • Partner with business leads, business engagement teams to support the development of cases for delivering the IT roadmap and Business strategy for SAP EWM

  • Lead with the Business, Operations IS and ERP solution architects (Plan to Stock, Record to Report, Source to Settle, Transportation Management, GTS) for multi-functional integrations and E2E solution design

  • Serve as solution owner for solutions within the global ERP architecture team

  • Lead continuous improvements to drive IT efficiency with the business and IT

  • Partner with business and operations IS teams to identify future business needs and prioritize resources/efforts to support the delivery of business-critical projects, enhancements, and process improvements

  • Deliver on portfolio investments and ensure business value outcomes are realized based on prioritized business needs

  • Drive implementation of multi-functional initiatives required for regulatory compliance

  • Uses deep business knowledge to drive engagement in major IT initiatives

  • Influence architecture decisions and solution choices with business customers and enterprise architects

  • Manage Implementation vendor to ensure the effective delivery of the projects and services, holding them accountable to project scope, SLAs, and critical metrics

  • Drive configuration and development activities to meet business requirements through a combination of internal and external teams

  • Ensure all the required functional, configuration, and technical design documents are built in compliance with GxP requirements and ERP architecture standards

  • Support Validation/QA teams on ensuring GxP compliance of SAP OTC capabilities with the corporate standard for IT change and IT SOPs following 21 CFR Part 11 and Annex 11 requirements

  • Promotes adoption of SAP industry standard methodologies within in S/4 Order to Cash workstream.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of relevant experience in SAP LE, warehouse management and shipping.

OR

Masters degree and 6 years of relevant experience in SAP LE, warehouse management and shipping.

OR

Bachelors degree and 8 years of relevant experience in SAP LE, warehouse management and shipping.

OR

Associates degree and 10 years of relevant experience in SAP LE, warehouse management and shipping.

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of relevant experience in SAP LE, warehouse management and shipping

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Subject-matter guide in SAP LE, warehouse management and shipping with a minimum of 2 end to end S/4 EWM implementations.

  • Solid experience with SAP supply chain processes and in particular Extended warehouse management and Transportation planning and execution, preferably with implementations: SAP TM, PP, SD, MM

  • Knowledge in SAP Organizational structure, Master data, Sales Order Processing, Delivery Processing, WM/EWM, Shipping and Transportation, Material flow system

  • Should have adequate knowledge of Stock Transport Orders and 3PL/4PL business processes

  • Hands on experience in configuring EWM storage type, section, strategies, replenishment, cycle count, HU management, Post Processing Framework, Package Builder, Wave Management, Batch Management, Exception Handling, Delivery Processing etc.

  • Preferred experience in implementation of EWM integrated with automated warehouse systems like ASRS, AGV using ALE-IDOC /API technologies

  • Experience in integration of WM/EWM with SAP Advanced Track & Trace and third party MES system

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $159,590 - 188,924.
