The Global Marketing Senior Manager will play a vital role in the launch of bemarituzumab, a first- and only-in-class FGFR2b inhibitor with Amgen Fastlane status and FDA breakthrough therapy designation. The bemarituzumab program is in late-stage development for frontline advanced gastric cancer, and simultaneously advancing clinical trials across other FGFR2b+ tumors, including NSCLC. Ahead of the first worldwide approval, the commercial team is currently preparing for key deliverables during a critical pre-launch period in partnership with the brand working group (BWG) markets and cross-functional business partners.

The Global Senior Marketing Manager will report to the Global Marketing Director and drive core elements of the brand strategy and launch execution. Specifically, this role will focus on 1) Developing global brand assets, including core communication platform, brand messaging and campaign, plus brand plan 2) Synthesizing market insights and clinical considerations to inform program strategy 3) Leading global forecasts and providing perspective on regional forecasts 4) Driving launch planning with lead markets and 5) sharing best practices in launch across global oncology. In this role you will impart strong critical thinking and structured problem solving in highly ambiguous environments. You will implement cross-functional leadership to drive execution, excellent executive-level communication skills, and a passion to serve patients. Key responsibilities:
  • Lead development of global brand positioning, messaging, campaign, brand plan and other core brand assets in partnership with agency and cross-functional team

  • Synthesize the latest market & customer insights to inform early product lifecycle development decisions with cross-functional partners (ex. Clinical development, regulatory, operations, etc.) and present commercial perspective on key gastric cancer program investments to executive (e.g. VP+) audiences

  • Partner with competitive intelligence and CDnA to implement primary and secondary research needed to deliver on brand priorities

  • Oversee semi-annual forecasting process; provide key inputs and strategic guidance

  • Drive launch readiness reviews preparation and discussion with key markets

  • Support strategic recommendation and case for LCM tumors, such as sqNSCLC and basket trial

  • Work with Legal and Regulatory teams to deliver materials in accordance with Amgen standards and principles

  • Establish relationships with all partners and effectively manage agency; hold partners accountable for high quality work, budget execution, and timelines

  • Oversee day-to-day team operations, including overseeing Integrated Brand Team & Brand Working Group meetings, monitor budget, etc.

  • Support other ad hoc projects with the brand and across global oncology that will arise with evolving needs and changing market dynamics

  • Demonstrate a sense of shared ownership of overall brand and business unit performance

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Masters degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Bachelors degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

Associates Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or other advanced degree in marketing, healthcare management, or related subject area

  • Deep understanding of clinical development, especially in oncology

  • Experience in oncology and companion diagnostics, globally or in market (e.g. US)

  • Launch experience

  • Innovative problem solver in highly ambiguous environments

  • Ability to drive influence across medical, development, access, regulatory and operations partners to set direction and align work efforts

  • Strong grasp of marketing strategy, market research, segmentation, brand positioning, and tactical plan development

  • Experience with engaging with and gaining insights from key opinion leaders and other members of the healthcare community

  • Demonstrated strength in dictating analytics needs and synthesizing insights into strategy

  • Experience managing media agencies to deliver impactful messages and creatives

  • Bias for action and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to exercise strong judgment and live up to the highest ethical standards

  • Excellent communication skills and self-awareness of leadership style

  • Strong organizational skills - to set targets, track to achievements and complete projects

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $141,009 -$170,614.
