This role is based on-site in Redwood City (Redwood Shores), California  The Role Seer is looking for a Logistics Specialist to support our supply chain in a Manufacturing environment. This role will report to the Director of Supply Chain and will be responsible for supporting manufacturing operations. They will also be working closely with purchasing and our logistics coordinator.

The ideal candidate will possess a high level of attention to detail. The Logistics Specialist is expected to complete routine work with a high level of competence and can resolve mid-complexity non-standard situations by applying previous knowledge and experience. Work is independent and collaborative in nature. Normally this role receives little instruction on day-to-day work; general instructions on new assignments. 

Responsibilities & Goals The Logistics Specialist at Seer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, processing incoming material, securely and safely storing it, issuing materials to end-users according to material requisitions and work orders. 

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Set up and maintains warehouse /stockroom
  • Perform various routine physical tasks involved in one or more areas including but not limited to receiving, storing, packing, picking & shipping of materials, inventory transactions.
  • Unpack, check goods received against work orders (Production), purchase orders, return authorizations, or other functional processes
  • Ensure that all materials & system movements are complete at the end of the day contributing to the daily Clean Close
  • Examine, stock, distribute materials in inventory
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g. forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, dock lever, etc)
  • Prepare kitting packages for assembly, pick/pack orders
  • Maintain clean work area. Executes daily cleaning & compliance of assigned cleaning area
  • Ensure all materials maintain material compliance requirements at all points of material staging
  • Ability to work efficiently as an individual and as a team member, good communication skills both verbally and written with email/electronic systems
  • Background & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 5+ years’ experience required for entry into this level
  • DOT/IATA experience
  • Able to prepare and review international shipping documents is a plus
  • Strong computer skills including familiarity with relevant software (MRP, Excel and Word) preferred Functional knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Adept at handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously

  • At Seer, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $75,000k and $90,000k, and will depend on the candidates education, skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for bonus, benefits, and participation in Company’s stock option plan.
