Senior Manager, Global Commercial Development, Business Intelligence, Immunology

AbbVie is seeking talented Business Intelligence professionals to work on one of the leading Immunology pipelines in the pharmaceutical industry.  Successful candidates will be proven leaders, who are able to thrive in a dynamic environment, and have a track record of delivering business insights that drive successful commercial strategies and tactics.

The Primary Function of the Business Intelligence organization is to provide strategic guidance to the commercialization team by leveraging insights from primary and secondary resources, competitive intelligence, and advance analytical techniques.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Act as business insights lead for the Immunology Pipeline team and be a trusted advisor to therapeutic area leadership, guiding commercial strategy for development of key indications:

• Define high impact business issues to shape and inform an innovative asset strategy
• Develop a comprehensive marketing research plan to address priority business issues and knowledge gaps, while demonstrating depth of expertise across a broad range of market research methodologies.
• Work collaboratively with other functions on the design and execution of research
• Develop concise, thoughtful and compelling business implications based on insights from the research
• Present and represent the research learning in meetings
• Build effective, collaborative working relationships across the Global Market Analytics and Business Intelligence function, Immunology Pipeline team, cross-functional partners, and Abbvie affiliates
• Be a vocal contributor to the growth and evolution of the Global Market Analytics and Business Intelligence function by sharing best practices, innovative techniques, and lessons learned
• Successfully managing research within agreed upon budgets and timelines

The successful candidate for the Immunology Pipeline Business Intelligence team will demonstrate:

• Ability to shape decision making by leveraging insights from marketing research
• Depth of knowledge across a broad range of research tools and techniques, including secondary data sources 
• Understanding of the key driving trends in the healthcare environment which are shaping the market
• Understanding of commercial development strategy within the Immunology therapeutic area and provides input into the strategy
• Guides team on interpreting brand marketing strategy into market research objectives and priorities
• Successfully negotiate and prioritize workload demand
• Contribute to a productive work culture by creating trust and respect within the department

Basic:

• BA or BS degree required.
• 8+ years marketing research/business analytics experience required. Strong communication and organizational skills required
• Must be able to work effectively in complex and dynamic matrix environment

Preferred:

• Master's Degree in Business or Science preferred.
• Understanding of drug development process and pipeline asset strategy strongly preferred.
• Pharmaceutical and/or Immunology experience preferred.
