Summary of Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the In vitro pharmacology Team in Menlo Park. The responsibilities of this role will be to establish primary cultures, maintain and carry out screening of LNPs. Working here the individual is expected to gain hands on training in developing knockdown cell-models and in cell delivery methods including aerosol delivery to cells. The successful candidate will collaborate with an inter-disciplinary team of ReCode scientists and will have access to excellent experimental and analytical facilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Cell culture, maintenance and QC of mammalian cell lines and primary cells.
  • Prepare aliquots of media, PBS, antibodies, supplements, and inventory management.
  • Coordinate with fellow researchers within the team to plan for cell culture requirements.
  • Support cell banking activities.
  • Support drug screening efforts.
  • Plan and perform experiments and analyze data with supervision.
  • Present data at group meetings.
  • Contribute to lab management activities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in biology or related field.
  • Lab experience in cell culture.
  • Experience establishing primary cell culture from clinical samples is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and well-organized laboratory records.
  • Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.


Salary Range: 70-85K*

*Please note that for remote positions, salary may be adjusted for cost of living
