Position Summary:
BMS’s Cell Therapy business is entering an exciting new phase as it begins the commercialization of its first CAR-T products. Commercialization drives new scope, scale, and complexity across the network, and requires manufacturing sites, global organizations, and IT systems to work together in new ways.
The Sr. Manager, Business Process Delivery, Mfg Scheduling plays a key role in leading, analyzing, and delivering a portfolio of solutions that enhance and extend the capabilities offered to Manufacturing organizations and their close partners. The Sr. Mgr. Business Process Delivery leverages knowledge of manufacturing & Supply Chain planning processes and familiarity with manufacturing technology to either deliver solutions directly, or partner closely with IT Delivery teams to clarify detailed requirements and drive for technical solutions to be delivered right the first time with minimal need for rework.
The Sr. Mgr. Business Process Delivery is a key member of cross-functional, cross-site communities within the Cell Therapy organization. The Sr. Mgr. Business Process Delivery works collaboratively with Global and Local Business Process Owners, and the SC Portfolio & Project Management team to understand and influence the road map for desired scheduling capabilities. Sr. Mgr. Business Process Delivery focuses on scaling up Cell therapy production capabilities by digitizing manufacturing scheduling processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Has in-depth understanding and experience in Manufacturing and production scheduling domains. Is able to translate domain knowledge into requirements for computer-based systems for manufacturing scheduling
Capable of utilizing his deep domain knowledge in envisioning how business requirements map to system features for manufacturing scheduling system and is capable of identifying system solution gaps by thinking on behalf of the production scheduler.
Capable of identifying opportunities for productivity improvements by utilizing computer based system capabilities.
Have expertise in change management. Capable of managing and communicating changes for enabling and improving system adoption by schedulers on the shopfloor. Actively listen to feedback from user communities and stakeholders to plan and enable future state system improvements.
Primary point of contact for any scheduling system issues and provides timely solutions to ensure on time delivery.
Build strong relationships and communication with all functions including Supply chain, manufacturing, production scheduling and IT.
Advanced knowledge of forecasting, capacity planning, and production planning.
Experienced in a functional and business capacity with atleast 2 system implementations for manufacturing scheduling system implementations.
Knowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA guidance applicable to biologics and cell therapy (or related) manufacturing.
Ability to work independently on projects or problems of moderate scope to meet objectives. Troubleshoots and identifies causes and suggests solutions.
Attention to detail and ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy.
Source of imaginative, thorough, and innovative solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Exhibits leadership behaviors including collaborating for results and developing/ executing strategy.
Leadsolution designs that impact production planning, scheduling and manufacturing,witha primary focuson supportingCell Therapy requirements.
Write test plans, conduct quality assurance (QA) testing, support user acceptance tests (UAT)
Serves as a resource to more junior members of the team.
Experience in lean, operational excellence, six sigma, or continuous improvement, and process mapping preferred. Supports an environment that encourages continuous improvement, best practices and appropriate risk taking.
Ability to influence key stakeholders of internal and external teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the company.
Possess the skills to initiate, evaluate, develop, defend, and influence users on the adoption of solid, actionable recommendations.
Ability to lead, manage and participate in multiple division-level projects/assignments with a typically high degree of complexity and change management components.
Be an in-house expert for project teams consisting of various cross-functional roles and consultants.
Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’sDegreein Supply Chain, Information Systems, Business or Engineering.
8+years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical industrypreferred).
Experience with at-least two manufacturing scheduling system implementations in business/ Functional role with tools like Emerson RTMS, SAP , Oracle , Katana or Plex. Prior experience with Emerson RTMS ( Previously called BIO-G) is preferred.
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $130,000 - $163,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation is decided based on demonstrated experience.
