The US Abbvie Patient Services Marketing Team leads across multiple brands and therapeutic areas to deliver an unparalleled care model that enables the best possible patient treatment experience, helping patients achieve their full treatment plan potential.

This Patient Services Marketing Director role provides overarching leadership and direction for the US Patient Services Marketing vision, strategy, go-to-market plan, and resource investment for Patient Support programs that span Immunology, Oncology, Neuroscience, and Specialty products. This candidate will provide positive leadership and productive influence across, and around the Abbvie Patient Services enterprise. Leverage data, analytics, and a strategic mindset in all aspects of running the marketing function and effectively orchestrate work across internal teams and external partners.

Major Responsibilities include:

  • Aligning cross-functional teams around a clear program vision and purpose of each patient service program while developing and motivating their direct reports to successfully achieve individual and organizational objectives. This role will also be accountable for bringing expertise and leadership support to advance the Digital Transformation key priorities of Abbvie Patient Services.
  • Lead patient support brand positioning, message development, and creative campaign work across stakeholders, including Patients, HCPs, Access and Reimbursement teams, and Nursing Services for new and enhanced patient service experiences.  
  • Oversee the Marketing program performance while collaborating closely with Marketing Analytics and Business Insights team on the program measurement planning, creating the patient treatment experience and ongoing insight work that drives innovation for product-specific patient support resources. Lead new opportunities to translate patient and HCP unmet needs into new service strategy recommendations.
  • Direct and execute the annual Patient Services Marketing financial and tactical planning process.  Work cross-functionally with data, product, technology, agencies, and field teams to understand stakeholder needs to improve the intelligence available for relevant, personalized, real-time marketing for patients and HCPs. This includes ensuring the orchestration and alignment of omnichannel touchpoints across the patient experience (Social, CRM, Web, Media, HCP office, Field Resources, App, Hub and Patient Service Field teams).
  • Infuse AbbVie Ways of Working and Talent Philosophy in day-to-day leadership and management of the business.

  • Bachelor’s Degree required – MBA preferred
  • 12+ years of Marketing Experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw insights that drive the business forward
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Established track record of leading, coaching, and developing high-performing marketing teams
  • Experience leading creative, digital, and data agencies and motivating them to deliver high-impact marketing initiatives.
  • Effective stakeholder and relationship management experience; able to interact and build trusted relationships with multiple levels
