Purpose:

The Senior Financial Analyst, Operations will support both the financial planning and actuals analysis/reporting requirements for the QA/S&T and Admin business units within Operations Finance.  The Senior Analyst will be a critical contributor to the team, interacting will all levels of the business units supported.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and develops drafts of annual Plan, update, LRP and LBEs as required. Complete required Operations FP&A submissions within deadlines. Work with the business partners to understand dynamics in each area.
  • Support headcount reporting for the business units.  Track actual headcount and Open positions, as well as levels of contractor support.
  • Supports Capital process, planning and reporting including working with Project accounting ensuring accurate RCE reporting.  Work with partners to build annual plans and LRP’s.  Track spending against RCE’s and create LBE’s. 
  • Collaborate with business partners and operations FP&A to complete any ad-hoc analysis requested and support any project teams
  • Provide guidance to business partners and communicate financial implications to business decisions.
  • Identify and implement solutions to optimize financial processes to improve speed, agility, and insights.
  • Works closely with other departments within AbbVie to ensure that strategic initiatives are achieved.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail

 

Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred. 
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong financial, analytical, problem solving and communications skills, with ability to work independently.
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Knowledge of SAP, HRM, TM1 preferred
