Purpose Statement (2-3 Sentences):

Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position:

  • Build and develop cross functional project teams to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation
  • Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and project implementation plans, including risk mitigation
  • To coordinate internal and external resources, ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule, and defined budgets, in collaboration with project staff from various functional departments
  • Analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
  • Depending on scale and complexity of projects or programs ensure project plan has effective communication, training, and change management strategy

  • Initiate stakeholder and impact assessment before the project/program kicks off
  • Build executive sponsorship depending on scale and complexity of project/program
  • Engage the right partnerships for working teams balancing nimbleness of team and drawing the right subject matter of expertise
  • Budget management associated with project/program and ensuring accurate forecasting for finance partners
  • Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle
  • Setting project quality and performance standards
  • Assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders to drive project/program forward
  • Monitor and assign resources appropriately to streamline project efficiency and maximize deliverable outputs
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans

 


Qualifications:

List required and preferred qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience.

  • University/Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a strong background in health sciences.
  • Program/Project management experience or certification with 10 or more years in business operations, project management, or related experience (e.g. PMP, PRINCE II, Six Sigma Belts)
  • Strong finance and accounting background experience with forecasting and budget management
  • Change management experience or certification is a plus
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
  • Experience in managing “virtual” teams and cross-functional team dynamics
  • Experience working in a global organization with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and matrix environment
  • Excellent communication, networking, tact and diplomacy, and people skills.  Experience in conflict- and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience developing in-house platforms for internal processes
  • Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and an awareness of differences in medical and clinical practice in the region
  • Rapidly adaptable to a changing environment and willingness to assess and implement new ideas and opportunities
  • Self-starter with vision and initiative and the ability to work unsupervised towards the achievement of challenging goals
  • Sound judgment, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to get things done
