Associate Director, Finance Systems Data and Analytics

At Abbvie BTS, within the Operations and Enterprise Systems organization, The Associate Director, Finance Data and Analytics, will be a key team member contributing to the architecture, design, development, and implementation of BI Solutions for AbbVie. This role will work directly with internal and external partners in BTS and the Finance organization to deliver BI solutions, utilizing data visualization programs, tools, and techniques to generate dashboards, reports, and other end-user information portals or resources, enhancing the data and analytics capabilities for Finance. The right candidate is able to work closely and collaboratively with the business, managing scope, project work and associated risks.

Responsibilities:

• Being a model and advocate for Abbvie Culture.
• Serves as a thought leader in developing a robust Finance-wide data strategy, aligning best-in-class technology solutions with short and long-term business initiatives.
• Work directly with business partners to understand reporting requirements and design solutions.
• Create, produce, and maintain customized dashboards that leverage visual analytics and data storytelling to inform and improve strategic decisions.
• Development and implementation of data and analytics roadmaps for all Finance areas supported by BTS Finance Systems organization.
• Document requirements and BI technical and functional designs.
• Design, manage and deploy BI relevant solutions for the Finance organization.
• Advising and driving standardization of reporting.
• Advise on application of BI tools available within AbbVie.
• Advances technical expertise within function. Proactively demonstrates leadership by advising and sharing knowledge and expert opinions with subordinates, peers, and senior management. Mentors colleagues and assesses current and emerging business challenges enabling functional goal achievement.
• Responsible for adherence to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, and data security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with 9 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 8 years’ experience; PhD with 4 years’ experience.
• Experience developing and implementing Data and Analytics roadmaps tied to business strategy.
• Experience working on both tactical and strategic initiatives.
• Ability to identify and communicate both short and long-term technology roadmaps, as it relates to BI strategies.
• Experience engaging stakeholders and demonstrating the value of Data and Analytics
• Technical background in healthcare, laboratory diagnostics, medical devices or pharmaceutical companies
• Demonstrated experience in implementing AI and ML solutions for Business functions 
• Demonstrated experience with various BI Tools like PowerBI, Alteryx.
• Demonstrated experience with various database technologies like Snowflake, Redshift, Amazon.
• Demonstrated solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Master Data management methodologies and tools.
