#Inventory Analyst, Warehouse Distribution (onsite, Abbott Park)

Own the coordination of the Inventory plans setting within US Distribution Operations (USDO) and all associated follow-on activities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and predictability. Work with business partners and stakeholders to manage and maintain an accurate inventory. Enable accurate inventory data availability and KPI’s for all key stakeholders.  Partner with finance functions to understand financial inventory impact.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support SAP S/4 Hanna and EWM systems. Maintain and update data and attributes as needed. Process inventory and related transactions. Support USDO users and Supply chain stakeholders.
  • Update and support the monthly inventory reporting by business units, analyze results and actively work with key stakeholders to understand drivers for variance. Make recommendations to solve for complex problems.
  • Create inventory projections within multiple subsets such as location, product, brand for future planning and strategic direction.
  • Drive the overall Inventory plan setting process, monitor performance, and follow through on resulting actions with Planning Managers and Finance. Enhance the inventory projection and optimization capability within Supply Chain Planning from a process, system and skillset standpoint.
  • Drive the short dated/excess inventory review process to mitigate any risk on obsolescence and/or collaborate with finance to create reserves.
  • Own assigned projects and assignments.

  • Bachelor’s degree of Science, Engineering, Economics or Business Management, preferably in the Supply Chain area or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in Operations, Supply Chain Management and/or Financial Management.
  • Practical knowledge of SAP is required, advanced knowledge of EWM is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, VBA, or MS Access is preferred.
  • Act as a team player with focus on improvement and a strong drive for results.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills. Knowledge of Microsoft tools such as Excel is required.
  • Ability to individually prioritize and execute tasks based on a defined project plan in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills are required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency to develop strong cross-functional collaboration with Finance and Manufacturing affiliates and within Supply Chain.
  • Must have solid communication skills (English) as well as excellent Supply Chain management skills/understanding.  International experience and/or multi-lingual capabilities is a plus.
