We are currently seeking an Analytical Technologies Scientist II to be a technical leader and responsible for coordinating, executing, and documenting all analytical related activities including development and method optimization to advise clients on transfer activities. The Analytical Technologies Scientist II works with internal and external customers, consistently delivering high quality data, and is comfortable communicating to technical and non-technical audiences. The position is ableto influence clients on critical decision making interfaces. The Analytical Technologies Scientist II provides objective evidence to support specifications and acceptance criteria justification. The position collaborates with internal QC, QA, and other team members to ensure compliance to specifications, processes, and procedures. The Analytical Technologies Scientist II supports technical cGMP investigations including OOS, product impacting deviations, Change Controls, and CAPAs. In addition to bench work, the Analytical Technologies Scientist II coaches and develops junior staff and is proactive in recommending novel approaches to solve problems. The position punctually leads/co-leads process improvements and cost savings initiatives. The Analytical Technologies Scientist II participates in special projects, such as cleaning validation development.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, optimizes, qualifies and/or validates analytical methods using HPLC, LCMS, cIEF, CE-SDS, UV and particulate matter quantitation and characterization assays (e.g. HIAC, MFI, DLS and HOUND).
  • Coordinates and executes analytical method transfers between Clients and Aji Bio-Pharma.
  • Provides advanced technical problem solving without supervision in method development, product characterization, technology induction, and other special projects.
  • Provides scientific direction/technical problem solving for the group members on chromatographic and spectrophotometric assays.
  • Writes and collaborates on technical documents including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), protocols, and reports.
  • Represents the department by attending client project meetings and communicating clearly on assay performance and other deliverables.
  • Communicates and collaborates with QC, QA, and Manufacturing groups on analytical transfers, method updates, and timelines.
  • Follows cGMP, ICH, and USP guidelines including data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Trains and assists junior staff in method development and validation projects.
  • Willing to work with Band 4 and Band 5 highly potent compounds.
  • Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].
  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.

  • Requirements :

  • BS/MS/PhD in a relevant discipline required.
  • Minimum 16 years of experience with BS
  • Minimum 11 years of experience with MS
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with PhD.
  • Expert knowledge in analytical method tech transfer, development, and validation.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable in client facing roles.
  • Proven commitment to the highest levels of data integrity in their work.
  • Ability to partner well internally in matrix environment.
  • Identifies and solves technical problems proactively and independently.
  • The anticipated salary range for candidates who will work in California is $105,627 - $147,877

    The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Ajinomoto Bio-Pharma Services is a multi-state employer and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
