Moderna is seeking talented Co-op(s) to join the Clinical Biomarker team for the Fall semester. As a Co-op, you will work with various team members on projects related to Clinical Biomarkers mission to result clinical data across therapeutic areas including Infectious Diseases, Oncology, Autoimmune and Rare Diseases. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team of a high growth organization that is radically changing the biotech industry via cutting-edge mRNA science. The Co-ops project aims to use state-of-art bioanalytical and biomarker technology for assay development to drive program decision and biomarker strategy optimization.
Our summer/fall co-op program is from July 17-December 15, 2023. All applicants must be available for the entire duration of the program.
Heres What Youll Do:
Work with Biomarker Scientific Leaders on assay development and validation across many clinical studies
Work with senior scientist on a technical Laboratory solutions related to clinical trials
Help to implement solutions through laboratory wet work assay development/testing OR through interactions with vendors and external research organizations
Present the research outcome at the end of the program to a diverse team
Have the opportunity to work on state-of-the-art technology to support a wide range of assays and experimental plan to support phase I-II clinical studies
Heres What Youll Bring to the Table:
Must be a student in a graduate program (Masters or Ph.D.), or equivalent degree.
Relevant experience can substitute for advanced degree programs
Must have completed at least 12 credit hours within a related major with GPA at least 3.0 or above (on 4.0 scale)
Major must be in field related to science (chemistry, biology, cellular biology) other related laboratory-based science.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills required.
Bio-sample handling experience strongly preferred.
Candidates with experience with at least one of the following techniques are encouraged to apply:
Immunoassays (i.e. ELISA, ELLA, MSD)
Cell Biology and protein Biochemistry technique
Hands-on experience with High resolution LC/MS for both small and large molecules
Familiarity with biological sample extraction/separation techniques such as enzymatic digestion, Liquid/Liquid extraction, SPE, Protein precipitation, etc.- Preferred
Project management experience preferred.
Good written and oral communication skills in English language.
