Are you a motivated histotechnologist searching for a position in a highly collaborative, dynamic environment in a company with a great culture? This might be an opportunity for you! We are seeking an individual who will perform histology for immunology drug discovery programs. The successful candidate will work in a group providing research support in target validation, target distribution, animal model development, pharmacology and exploratory safety studies. Specific activities will include routine histology (e.g., tissue trimming, tissue processing, embedding, and sectioning of paraffin embedded and frozen tissues), routine and special histochemical staining and immunohistochemistry (IHC). In addition, the eligible applicant will perform glass slide digital scanning and organize and manage the database for all department pathologists (CaseViewer and Pannoramic slide scanning system) which requires close attention to detail.  Additional tasks include using computer-based laboratory tracking system (LabLion) and working with Comparative Medicine East to collect tissues for histology using Pristima data collection system. The candidate must independently schedule and prioritize workload to manage several tasks. Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S./B.A. in Biology/Chemistry or related field
  • HT (ASCP) certification is preferred, but a candidate with strong biology skills and a willingness to learn will be considered
  • Microsoft office skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Histotechnologist Certification (HTL) preferred but not required
  • Applicable animal experience desired
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques such as aseptic technique, pipetting, and immunology will be helpful
  • Ideally 1-3 years of experience within a histology/ pathology laboratory
