As a Travel Technician, you will:

Summary: The main function of a travel technician is to travel to different locations and perform routine medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, maintain, and clean medical laboratory equipment. Analyze the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices.
• Analyze, gather, and record test data to issue reports that use charts, graphs, and narratives.
• Obtain specimens, cultivating, isolating, and identifying microorganisms for analysis. May examine cells stained with dye to locate abnormalities.
• Consult with a pathologist to determine a final diagnosis when abnormal cells are found.

Qualifications:

• Two third-shift workers are needed. hours are 9 PM-7 AM.
• The tech will need to be fully Covid vaccinated.
• A technician with 2-3 years of experience would work.
• All lab technologists and technicians have to have a New York State License. 
• If they have it, then they meet all qualifications. Unlicensed techs cannot work in New York State.
• We do not have set days of the week that people are scheduled to work. They would work 4 - 10 hour shifts during the week. They would have an extra weekday off each week surrounding the weekend.

Pay Range*: $80.00/hr to $89.00/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
