Global Marketing Director Commercial Strategy, Inflammation (US Remote)

In this vital role you will report to the Executive Director (Global Marketing and Product Team Lead) for Otezla, and partner closely with Global cross-functional colleagues as well as affiliate Business Unit Directors and Product Managers around the world. You will have the opportunity to influence and further evolve Otezlas strategy and market approach on a global scale. Otezla is a first in class oral therapy approved across psoriatic diseases with $2B in worldwide product sales in 2021. This role will impart exceptional leadership capabilities, strategic mentality, a highly collaborative approach, and an ability to build relationships and engage with both internal and external partners.
Responsibilities include:Global Strategy:
Work with GML, BWG and IBT to create and reinforce Global marketing strategy (including Global Brand Plan) based on a deep understanding of markets, customers (HCP/patient/payer), competitors, and business drivers
Drive the Global Communication and Differentiation platform in collaboration with the Brand Working Group (BWG) and Integrated Brand Team (IBT), including key elements such as brand guidelines, core narrative and positioning, supporting messages and annotations, and considerations for local market adaptation/implementation
Lead Global-to-Local (G2L) implementation for Otezla, including Otezla Core Communications Platform and BWG reference materials
Partner with CD&A to develop clear, fit for purpose insight generation strategy; ensure outputs of research deliverables are infused in strategic recommendations and outputs
Refine and monitor success metrics and KPIs (both qualitative and quantitative) and collect insights on drivers and barriers that may impact Global strategy
Facilitate identification, efficient dissemination, and rapid scaling of local successes to Global markets by effectively leveraging live and asynchronous methods
Partner with BUDs/PMs to conduct focused deep dives in consultation with regional leadership
Support local market capabilities implementation and optimization in collaboration with Global Commercial Capabilities (GCC) organization
Lead commercial strategy and completion of annual international congress meeting (including EULAR and EADV), working with GCC counterparts on booth design and completion, Global summit management, and other pivotal initiatives.
Collaborate with Competitive Intelligence and Medical teams to monitor the evolving competitive landscape, recognize implications for Otezla, and build Global response plan recommendations for implementation through BWG in G2L model.
Seek opportunities for innovation and appropriate risk-tasking with clearly defined success metrics that enable a nimble test-learn-evolve environment
Manages relationship(s) with external agencies and vendors including creative agencies, AOR, etc.
Oversee marketing and agency budget
Build and maintain strong partnership with key contacts in Global markets (Focusing on Top 10)
Form strong partnerships with cross-functional global partners
Serve as a core member of relevant global teams and works to support a hard-working team dynamic
Partner closely with agency partners to maximize strategic and tactical collaboration that will ensure close alignment to key brand insights, strategic priorities, and behavioral objectives
Partner closely with legal, regulatory and compliance to appropriately progress strategic approach in a dynamic, competitive environment while ensuring adherence to all applicable policies and regulations

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing experience
Or
Masters degree and 6 years of marketing experience
Or
Bachelors degree and 8 years of marketing experience
Preferred Qualifications:Experience in highly competitive biotechnology or pharmaceutical market environments
Dermatology or inflammation experience
Strong marketing competence with a demonstrated abilities in building and launching brands, developing marketing strategy, leading market research plans, developing brand positioning
Experience working in an affiliate/market
Experience in a regional and/or global commercial function
Demonstrated record of strong commercialization planning and execution
Demonstrated track record of leadership and ability to influence, both directly and indirectly
Highly collaborative approach and comfortable in a large, matrix environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; advanced organization skills
Stellar communication skills and self-awareness of leadership style

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $194,067 - $233,110.
