Summary of Position:

The Manager/Sr. Manager of IT Infrastructure and Security will be critical part of the IT team and report directly to the Head of IT.  In this role, you will own the overall design, engineering and operation of IT infrastructure platforms that deliver high availability, performance, capacity, in a cost effective and secure manner. You will be responsible for implementing and enforcing sound Infrastructure design standards/policies, network security and compliance, access controls, support processes, and data governance.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan and direct the design, deployment, and implementation of on premise and cloud technology infrastructure, including network administration, device management, system architecture, telecommunications, and business continuity and disaster recovery to support ReCode’s IT environments.
  • Manages Operation including technical infrastructure environments (storage, virtualization, servers, communication systems, Networks-LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewalls, and applications), security configuration, backup administration, service level monitoring, system and performance monitoring, and incident management.
  • Drive Infrastructure vulnerability and patch management schedule in alignment with defined policies and standards.
  • Manage network monitoring tools/systems for performance optimization, HA, logging, alerting, and reporting.
  • Elevate our cybersecurity posture by driving the development and execution of effective vulnerability remediation processes, as well as infrastructure-related security initiatives.
  • Lead IT security incident response activities including containment, investigation, remediation, and reporting.
  • Anticipates future technology needs and establishes plans to ensure a consistently high-performing infrastructure. Plans for growth and incorporates new technology to continuously scale the network, storage, backup, and administration systems at ReCode.
  • Ensure compliance with various regulatory environments (SOX, GxP, EMA, GDPR, Privacy, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Work in conjunction with managed service providers to ensure that all aspects of the operational services are effectively supported.
  • Develop and maintain IT Infrastructure Operation, Security and Data Protection operational processes, policies, and procedures.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management/Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Finance, or equivalent field. Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience is a plus.
  • 8-10 Years of increasingly responsible experience in IT Infrastructure Management and operation in complex environment, system administration, network administration, cloud services, and enterprise storage administration.
  • Hands on experience on various network technologies: LAN , WAN, DC, Wireless, Firewall and Remote Access (VPN).
  • Possess technical knowledge of OS (Windows, Linux), Hyperconverged infrastructure and virtualization (VMWare, Citrix), Cloud Services (Azure, AWS), Enterprise Networking infrastructure (Cisco, Meraki), Enterprise storage and backup solutions.
  • A working knowledge of information security practices and concepts including access controls and identity management, risk management, industry best practices and standards (such as ISO, ITIL, COBIT), Security Information and event management (SIEM), and security operation.
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills Effective in influencing and negotiating to achieve amicable outcomes.
  • Demonstrate ability to create a vision and strategy roadmap for enterprise technology stack.
  • Strong experience and understanding of Regulatory Agencies requirements.
  • Pharmaceutical, Biotech and/or Life Science Experience is desired.


Salary Range: *145-185K

*Please note that for remote positions, salary may be adjusted for cost of living
