Research Associate II/Sr. Research Associate, Molecular & Cellular Biology
This position will perform experiments in molecular and cellular biology related to cancer and immunology.
Your Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the Discovery Research team to develop new therapeutic molecules for cancer and infectious diseases
- Learn and implement techniques to evaluate therapeutic candidate molecules, such as ELISA and flow cytometry
- Learn and implement techniques to prepare therapeutic molecules for administration into animals
- Participate in experiment planning and data analysis
Education, Experience, Skills & Knowledge:
- College degree in biology or biochemistry or a related life sciences field.
- 5+ years of relevant academic or industrial experience.
- Experience with molecular biology or biochemistry techniques.
- Experience with cell culture and immunological assays.
- Familiarity with computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and presentation software.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with animal studies a plus.

Physical Demands Required:
- Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting up to 40 lbs.
- May encounter prolonged periods of sitting or standing
- This position requires working around hazardous materials
Other Requirements:
- This position may require some work on weekends and holidays
Compensation and Benefits
Omeros is proud to offer a competitive total compensation package designed to support the lives of our employees and their families. The wage scale for the Research Associate is $71,900 to $79,500 per year. For the Sr Research Associate $88,600 to $98,000. Salaries will be determined based on knowledge, skills, education, and experience relevant to the role.
