Job Description:

We are seeking an energetic Senior Manager, Commercial Analytics to help drive our data analytics capabilities in supporting all 3 of our therapeutic areas - Oncology, Neuroscience, Rare Disease. The person in this role will be part of the Commercial Information Management & Enablement (CIME) function with a reporting line to the Analytics & Reporting Lead.

The Senior Manager, will work with various stakeholders on new metrics and data cuts identification, analysis execution, and results presentation to drive brand strategic initiatives and ultimately performance. The successful candidate in this role is expected to have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical business, and to support team in the following areas:

• Brand Analytics
• Market Access Analytics
• Advanced Analytics
• Support to Finance & Forecasting
• Patient Journeys

In addition to strong Analytical skills, this individual is expected to be hands-on in running analyses using advanced analytical techniques and tools. This position may be required to manage contractors/consultants, but will have no direct reports. The candidate will also be required to continuously evaluate new quantitative analytical methods and technologies.

Main Responsibilities and Expectations

• Collaborate closely with the CIME and cross-functional brand teams across Ipsen's US portfolio of products
• Serve as 1st line of contact for cross-functional brand team analytics intake of requests and inquiries  
• Support Brand, Value & Access, Finance & Forecasting and other functions with ad-hoc analytics
• Support high-priority commercial initiatives by integrating insights from data analytics, forecasting, and competitive and market intelligence
• Proactively engage Stakeholders to refine metrics, KPIs, Business Rules and explore secondary data to uncover additional insights
• Provide project management oversight on analytics projects
• Drive advanced analytics to expand insights on patient / customer journeys and predictive alerts
• Foster a culture of innovation and agile ways of working with strategic partners by taking part in the execution of proof of concepts, pilots, and projects based on cutting edge technologies
• Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership through various communication channels

Knowledge, Abilities and Experience

• BA/BS in a related field is required; advanced degree is a plus
• At least 5 years of relevant experience within pharma/biotech or MedTech
• The last 3+ years of experience spent in a hands-on data analytics role
• Deep understanding of pharma specific commercial and patient level data, including claims, sales, RWE, Lab, etc. and patient journeys
• Advanced analytics and data visualization skills using Excel as well as Tableau / Power BI for data analytics, visualization and modelling is a plus
• Ability to drive projects through Data Science project lifecycle – from understanding the business questions through solution deployment
• Good working knowledge of ML algorithms and proven track of their implementation
• Strong communication skills – ability to think analytically to understand complex or ambiguous business problems and communicate solutions / conclusions clearly and concisely
• Able to work in hybrid/flex working arrangement, including a mix of remote and in-office based work at our Cambridge, MA headquarters
