Organization Overview:

The Global Serialization Program is responsible for providing engineering and technical support for Lilly commercial packaging operations worldwide, that includes asset delivery.  This will include managing a team that provides asset delivery within the global Serialization program.  For Serialization, global legislation requires that Lilly products be uniquely identified, tracked, and reported to regulatory bodies. The Global Serialization Program (GSP) manages the complex activities needed to successfully implement, support, and adapt solutions to meet these requirements across the company.    

Responsibilities:

•Lead team to maintain strong safety culture

•Develop and deliver standardized serialization solutions

•Manage capital and expenses assigned to GSP

•Develops a staffing strategy to meet technical and project deployment priorities for Serialization.

•Direct and lead the work of a group of technical engineers (R1-R4) and contract resources to assure that projects are completed on time and on budget

•Build and maintain effective teams – Identify, attract and evaluate talent through internal/external networks; coach, mentor, and develop people; and build requisite Technical Capabilities to support organizational mission

•Improve people capability and capacity by ensuring training, career development and professional and technical growth for employees

•Be a champion for safety activities and a role model for diversity, ethics, and compliance

•Complete all HR related tasks such as ePM plans, development plans, succession planning, career counseling, and all other people related aspects of the team.

Basic Requirements:

•Bachelor's or masters Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

•Minimum 7+ years of relevant industry experience

Additional Skills/Preferences:

•​Experience working in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

•Proficiency in planning and managing teams to carry out highly complex tasks and/or tasks that are highly cross-functional or cross-site in nature.

•Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to customers, business partners, and staff including good oral, written, and visual presentations

•Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply solutions to different situations by understanding customer needs and applying strong problem-solving skills

•Demonstrated ability to utilize and implement various tools, systems, and processes resulting in improved operational excellence of laboratory and business operations.

•Understanding of Capital Management and Verification processes

•Strong experience managing initiatives with aggressive timelines

•Thorough knowledge/experience in cGMP, ICH, USP, and other applicable regulations

•Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification

•Strong communication and team building abilities

Additional Information:

•Significant travel will be required (e.g. one to two weeks per month)

•Tasks may require entering development or manufacturing areas which require wearing appropriate PPE.

This position is an onsite position located in Indianapolis, IN and will require onsite presence the majority of the time. This is not a fully remote role.
