Job DescriptionContracting AnalystTakeda PharmaceuticalBannockburn, ILAbout the role:Are you looking for a patient-focused, innovation-driven company that will inspire you and empower you to shine? Join our Contracts & Pricing team as a Contracting Analyst in our Bannockburn, IL office.
How you will contribute:Manage all contract administration for assigned contracts including:
Documenting portfolio requirements for accurate establishment of the contract terms in the rebate processing system (payer accounts) or managing pricing system maintenance/set up and price changes (trade accounts)
Ensuring all product and price notifications are communicated on a timely basis
Partner with finance, credit and collections and customer service to resolve pricing issues or rebate issues
Ensuring all contract tracking documents are updated and contract documents are stored appropriately
Provide technical and analytical support for commercial (payer or trade accounts) contracts including:
Drafting and editing contract documents associated with access programs for specialty and plasma products
Works cross functionally within Contract & Pricing to ensure alignment for customer pricing and rebates.
Act as subject matter expert and provide cross-functional training on contract operations
Implements product pricing for assigned contracts
Ensures that business cases, contract documents and business exceptions are properly catalogued and stored to ensure secure archiving and seamless support in preparation of audits
Supports internal/external audits by preparing and providing the necessary documentation
Identifies, recommends and implements opportunities for process efficiencies including collaboration with Rebate, Chargeback and Pricing Analysts to drive increased efficiencies
Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of equivalent work experience required, Masters degree preferred.
3+ years of business experience with progressive experience in one or more of the following areas:, Pricing, Contracts, Distributor Chargeback, or Customer Service in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
Experience in ModelN (FLEX) is preferred
Strong communication, analytical, teamwork and time management skills
Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise (Breadth and depth of knowledge, application and complexity of technical knowledge)
Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the Commercial Payor, Medicare Part D and/or Trade Account market space.
Knowledge of current pricing and rebating practices and ability to implement these practices
Financial/business analytical support to pricing and legal initiative that enforce contract compliance
Leadership (Vision, strategy and business alignment, people management, communication, influencing others, managing change)
Effectively interact with staff from all functional areas across Managed Markets, USBU Finance, Legal and Audit.
Effectively communicate ideas and data in both verbal and written form
Responsible to ensure that quality, productivity, and timeliness of deliverables meet organizational and customer expectations.

Ability to understand Takeda's diverse product portfolio (Gen Med, Specialty and Plasma) and ensure compliant practices across the managed markets, C&P, Controller and Finance organization.
