Manager, Transparency Reporting

The Manager, Transparency Reporting will manage and complete Transparency Reporting activities to meet company’s US State, Federal Sunshine Act, and EFPIA reporting obligations through leading, training, partnering with internal stakeholders and external parties.  This reflects the full spectrum including, data collection, data review, remediation, and report generation processes, as well as by continuously developing and documenting processes for the review and reporting of Aggregated Spend. This role is responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and influence cross-functional End-To-End HCP/HCO Procure to Pay workstream from contract to disclosure including data collection, remediation, validation
  • Responsible to meet company’s transparency reporting obligations with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations (tax, statutory), operational policies
  • Ensure processes are consistently applied and executed to laws/regulations and policies ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely submission.  Role ensures HCP/HCO master data accuracy and completeness in related source system data (SAP, Concur, Veeva, Educational Materials).
  • Complete full scope of activities including data collection, validation/ completeness check, remediation, review, certification, and publication to dispute resolution. 
  • Coordinate and review entries for match between Spend Purpose Code and Description; request backup where necessary; review and make corrections in appropriate tools. 
  • Ability to implement and lead continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure successful adoption
  • Leads communication, change management and training initiatives to increase reporting efficiency and support company’s compliance
  • Primary responsible in partnering with supporting functions to ensure that policy requirements are clearly, accurately, and timely identified and translated into systems and processes
  • Liaise with finance and business as well as with internal and external stakeholders
  • Be able to understand and apply the legal requirements of the federal and state transparency laws, and the system requirements
  • Reviews agreements and makes recommendations to mitigate financial and compliance risks
  • Prepare reports and perform root cause analysis as required and delivery of outputs to ensure efficiency and compliance requirements are met Perform and implement Corrective Actions and Preventive Actions (CAPA) as corrections or improvements to organization's processes taken to eliminate causes of non-conformities or other adverse situations
  • Actively participate and advice to other Procure to Pay (PTP) projects or source system projects as required

Required Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or MBA a plus
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive and related experience
  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with all levels of management and including the ability to listen well and to influence others that do not report directly
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated experience with reporting, corporate controls, and compliance
  • Experience with application of federal and state laws and regulations is desired
  • Strong computer skills and data analytics
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, SOX and other control requirements is beneficial
