Job Description

About the role:

Lead HCP & patient campaign planning development, channel strategy, planning, execution, and measurement of campaigns for the HAE franchise. Build organizational campaign planning capability within the HAE franchise. Provide thought leadership and partnership as a subject matter expert in campaign planning and customer experience design. You will report to the Director, HAE Customer Innovation and Operations

How you will contribute:
  • Develop channel strategy that translates into HCP & patient campaigns as a part of an integrated Omnichannel Customer plan to pull through brand strategies and create meaningful and unique experiences, leveraging data to trigger next best action. This includes CX Mapping and Channel Mapping

  • Optimize omnichannel experience by coordinating touchpoints throughout the personal and non-personal channel ecosystem

  • Foster partnerships across Customer Innovation Team to build and implement novel, concepts prioritizing outcomes across different channels

  • Develop and manage operational plan for campaign execution, sets metrics and aligns tactics to measurement plan

  • Draft Omnichannel Marketing Engagement Briefs; bridge between brand teams and Customer Innovation team to ensure agreement on brand strategy and flawless execution

  • Communicate and translate complex omnichannel strategies within sales, marketing, and other functions

  • Oversight of tactical ad campaign execution in partnership with brand teams

  • Deliver monthly brand scorecard inputs for tactics along with insights and optimization recommendations

  • Build relevant Quarterly Business Reviews for internal marketing & cross-functional partners

  • Lead the tactical & investment planning to execute campaign strategy. Develop and lead workshops with relevant agency and internal partners

  • Work with Digital Leads to monitor campaign performance within each channel. Evaluate, tests, and optimizes channel performance. Report on campaigns performance and status. Partner with the brand team subject matter experts and Insights & Analytics team to make recommendations for optimizations

  • Partner with HCP and patient strategy leads to ensure alignment across consumer/HCP

  • Experience developing and presenting plans, recommendations and POV to leadership

  • Translate data into actionable insights to enhance customer experience.

  • Partner with Digital leads to navigate campaigns through medical, legal, regulatory reviews

  • Manage agencies, holding them accountable to Takeda USBU policies, standards, timelines, and budgets

  • Identify and recommend industry and internal best practices to build organizational channel capability

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Must analyze and derive business insights from performance data for all relevant digital communication channels, including web, email, display and social platforms

  • 5+ years recent experience with building or managing websites and digital campaigns, including SEM and Paid Social, required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required. Knowledge of Google Analytics and Tableau or similar data visualization software preferred

  • Experience managing creative agencies and budgets required

  • Experience promoting in rare and ultra-rare therapeutic categories strongly preferred

Leadership

  • The Campaign Planner is directly responsible for leading, maintaining and measuring the omnichannel ecosystem that delivers on-brand strategic imperatives. We expect you to innovate, find and recommend solutions that will optimally place our promotional messages with both HCP and patient audiences in a variety of media

  • With responsibilities for multiple brands, you will have line of sight across the entire HAE promotional mix and must develop standards/objectives for digital effectiveness that can help guide product brand leads across the HAE franchise

  • You must effectively and simply communicate promotional insights across sales, marketing and other cross-functional audiences, leading thought around the metrics that matter

Decision-making and Autonomy

  • Given this role's responsibilities across our personal and non-personal ecosystem, you must be able to balance short-term judgment calls to manage time-sensitive situations, with escalating larger issues proactively to compliance and/or leadership. Incorrect decisions here carry increased potential for reputational risk to Takeda

Interaction

  • This role is highly collaborative, both with the HCP and Patient leads within the same immediate team, and must also influence the broader HAE marketing team

  • Cultivating, trusting working relationships with PRT reviewers is a predictor of success for this role given the size and complexity of digital tactics taken through review

  • This role benefits from an inherent curiosity in how the marketing team is thinking through the digital aspects of their promotions, and how the sales team is using their enhanced virtual resources

  • With increased ambiguity in our promotional environment, this role must coordinate with Corporate Communications and Patient Services to make sure that our communications cadences stay appropriate to the moment

Innovation

  • You will oversee collection of the most immediate and measurable promotional feedback our marketing team receives. They are expected to share and make recommendations on the basis of these data

Complexity

  • Four promoted products, including a global growth brand, plus a disease state awareness campaign (DiscoverHAE)
  • High complexity and compliance gray area around social media campaigns benefitting from sensitivity for internal processes, diversity, and inclusion, and understanding of the HAE community. Mismanagement here carries reputational risk for Takeda
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:Required:
  • Bachelor's degree

  • 10+ years of experience with healthcare promotions, marketing or creative/digital agency

  • Experience with HCP or patient marketing, specifically through an omnichannel lens

  • Customer experience mapping and execution of omnichannel strategy across personal and non-personal channels

  • Ability to think big picture but also manage execution of multiple tactics by engaging key stakeholders within Takeda and across multiple agencies/vendors

  • Team player readily willing to help other strategic marketers in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

  • Able to communicate ideas, both written and verbally, in a persuasive and appropriate manner

Preferred:

  • MBA and/or client services experience at a creative agency experience

  • Technical proficiency with data visualization tools a plus

  • Estimated up to 15% travel to internal/external meetings – including overnights and weekends
