Data Visualization and Analytics Lead

The Associate Director serves as a business liaison between the Oncology Data, Digital and Technology and business. The visualization lead will work collaboratively with these departments to develop data and reporting solutions primarily for the commercial sales, marketing, medical, payer and analytics departments. The Associate Director is responsible for implementing business intelligence implementing dashboards & self-services projects, defining and maintain key performance indicators dictionary, a product backlog for new requirements and enhancements to reports, daily – weekly and monthly report refreshes and ops, data aggregation, and performance tuning and efficiency. This role implement the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive, standardized data and reporting knowledgebase across oncology business unit.

How you will contribute:
  • Support the business liaison partnership between Data, Digital and Technology and Insights & Analytics.

  • Support the collaboration between field sales, field medical, marketing, contracting & pricing and home office entities.

  • Implement business intelligence solutions, data aggregation, and performance tuning and efficiency.

  • Implement the creation and maintenance of a standardized data and reporting knowledgebase(KPI repository, wireframes, user journeys, etc.,) for Oncology business unit.

  • Oversee delivery of all standard ongoing, recurring reports on timely basis.

  • Support cross-functional projects to implement business intelligence data and reporting solutions on time, within budget.

  • Create and deliver presentations that translate complex technical information into business terms appropriate for executive-level constituents and own the product backlog.

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS:-

Leadership

  • Oversee and manage complete report development lifecycle.

  • Demonstrate leadership in influencing and improving current reports and dashboards by understanding and identifying the user needs and implement best practices as needed to enhance dashboards in both commercial and medical domains.

  • Ability to deliver in a client-facing, high paced environment, with many reporting requirements and deadlines

  • Experience working in Pharma commercial function.

  • Lead serves as a business liaison between business functions namely sales, marketing, payer, medical and analytics. The lead work collaboratively with these departments.

  • Leads the ideation, user storying, design, and development of key Business Intelligence (BI) projects to develop reports and dashboards that will be used for providing strategic insights to Takeda leadership for decision making.

  • Plays key role in establishing communication cadence with business stakeholders, managing demand intake, prioritization of business requests.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or related pharmaceutical science and 8+ years relevant experience.

  • Advanced degress (Masters degree/PhD) in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, engineering or related pharmaceutical science preferred, but not required.

  • Respective programming knowledge in Python/R/C/JavaScript. Further programming experience is advantageous.

  • Major Technical Toolsets used: Business Intelligence: Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, SQL server, Databricks, etc.,

  • Experienced with BI and/or Tableau development. Proficiency in database languages (SQL), understanding of data models and databases, data wrangling and data architecture. Demonstrated experience in building platforms, technologies and tools for data visualization.

  • Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry.
