The Associate Director of Digital & Omnichannel Marketing for AbbVie Patient Services leads the development and execution of the omnichannel marketing plan for HUMIRA. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration within the AbbVie Patient Services organization. They partner with cross-functional teams, including Franchise Leadership, Patient Engagement, Business Technology Solutions, Operations, Access & Reimbursement, Regulatory, Medical, Legal, Finance, and Marketing Analytics/Business Insights. The role entails a complemented mix of creative stewardship, experience strategy, innovation thought leadership – and is a marketing catalyst, driving AbbVie’s digital transformation.

 

 Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan and lead a team to execute the omnichannel marketing strategy, driving patient engagement, resource utilization, and HCP patient support throughout the Immunology treatment experience – and across all channels.
  • Lead channel strategy and development of Email, Direct Mail, Websites, Mobile Apps, Social Media, Media, SMS/MMS, SEM/SEO, and print.
  • Partner with Operations to plan and lead the Marketing team’s migration of CRM to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform – including integration with other patient services platforms to enable engagement strategies and tactics.
  • Provide oversight of agency relationships, focusing on partnerships with their Account, Strategy, Project Management, Creative, Measurement, Digital, Media, and Social teams.
  • Deliver omnichannel marketing briefs, understand timelines to accomplish tasks, and anticipate potential barriers impacting campaign delivery.
  • Partner with the Marketing Analytics & Business Insights team to evaluate the effectiveness of patient and HCP strategies by establishing omnichannel learning agendas and measurement plans.
  • Lead extraction of insights from measurement activities and formulate recommendations for optimization; prioritize and foster a test-and-learn environment.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of patient and HCP insights as they evolve to inform ongoing refinement of the treatment experience.
  • Deliver and articulate marketing objectives and strategies to cross-functional technology partners to inform Salesforce, Adobe, Veeva, and Five9 platform enhancements, integration solutions, and service innovations.
  • Drive service innovation by keeping a pulse and socializing brand, digital transformation, and service industry trends.
  • Manage a team of marketing managers, prioritizing investment of time in their growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of relevant digital and omnichannel marketing leadership experience developing strategic approaches to improve customer experience and drive retention
  • BS/BA required in marketing, analytical or relevant degree; MBA a plus
  • Proficient understanding of brand positioning and strategy, experience strategy, and end-to-end CRM campaign management
  • High digital acumen, with experience working side-by-side with data, analytics, and technology experts; demonstrated ability to translate marketing business needs into data and technology-based solutions
  • Experience managing campaigns on Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Manager – or similar marketing technology platforms
  • Success leading and motivating large cross-functional teams to accomplish a common goal on aggressive timelines (experience leading or working within Agile, sprint-based teams a plus)
  • Proven ability to successfully balance near-term results (e.g., ability to design and execute on an ‘MVP’ model) with long-term goals in mind
  • Able to reconcile competing priorities in a fast-paced, ambiguous, team-oriented environment
  • History of delivering large-scale enterprise projects on time and on target against key performance metric goals
  • Proven experience presenting to and influencing senior executives across an enterprise
  • Ability to manage and lead external partnerships, including agencies and production vendors
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing marketers
