Senior Software Engineer, Front-End

Eikon Therapeutics is a new biopharmaceutical company employing revolutionary technology at the intersection of chemistry, engineering, computation, and biology to discover novel treatments for life-threatening diseases. Eikon’s discovery platform is built on groundbreaking innovations from its founders (Nobel Prize, 2014), culminating in the creation of microscopes which enable real time, molecular-resolution measurements of protein movement in living cells, thereby unlocking otherwise intractable classes of proteins as drug targets.

Position 

As a member of the software team, you will implement solutions to challenges that are defined in collaboration with both fellow developers and scientists. This role is for a Senior Software Engineer, Front-End, but the work will have considerable emphasis on user interfaces. As part of the team developing the data visualization and quality control interfaces for Eikon’s core data-driven drug discovery engine, your work will have significant utilization and visibility within the company.

As part of Eikon’s diverse team, you will interface with biologists, medicinal chemists, microscopists, and optical and automation engineers to design and deploy computational solutions that enable the exploration and quantification of Eikon’s high-content datasets.  

What You’ll Do

• Develop front-end tools for data visualization and quality control interfaces for Eikon’s core data-driven drug discovery engine.
• Develop back-end pipelines and front-end dashboards for analysis visualizations to drive decision-making for drug discovery programs.
• Work collaboratively with scientists and engineers to understand tactical needs, develop prototype and production software to keep experiments moving forward.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, developing milestones and deadlines in coordination with the broader company goals.

Qualifications 

• BS in Computer Science or in a related field.
• 3 years of JavaScript and Python programming expertise required.
• Experience developing modern web applications with React or similar.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team-oriented, flexible, able to adapt to rapidly evolving goals and challenges. 
• Enthusiasm for drug discovery essential.

The expected salary range for this role is $145,000 to $167,000 depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
