Associate Scientist, Analytical Development and Support

Just is seeking a motivated and creative Associate Scientist, who desires a significant opportunity to improve worldwide access to biotherapeutics. We are looking for a someone to join a fast-paced, collaborative, and multidisciplinary team to provide analytical testing to support process development for low-cost biotherapeutic manufacturing. The successful candidate will have some experience in chromatography, electrophoresis, and analytical chemistry. Experience with high throughput analytical testing, statistical analysis, and high-performance liquid chromatography is a plus. The ideal candidate has strong written and verbal communications skills and works well independently and in teams.

Responsibilities:

• Work with team members to support process development teams with high-throughput analytical procedures
• Utilize chromatography data systems and informatics platforms to analyze and distribute analytical results
• Work with team members on technology development to reduce the cost and improve the efficiency, speed, and capacity of analytical testing and analytical methods

Requirements:

• BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field and 0-3 years experience
• Experience or coursework in chromatography and/or analytical chemistry
• Excellent experimental design, method development, and analysis skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office apps (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with HPLC and/or UPLC chromatography systems
• Familiarity with capillary electrophoresis
• Experience with troubleshooting complex instrumentation
• Experience with a chromatography data system
• Strength in data science and informatics

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $63,000 to $80,000; Base salary offered may vary depending on individual’s skills, experience and competitive market value.
