The Lilly Biotechnology & Immunology Research group focuses on discovering innovative medicines treating autoimmune/inflammatory diseases and related complications. We want you to join our mission!

Our team is looking for a hardworking scientist to independently design, develop and validate immunology cell based functional assays. This individual will be part of a diverse team responsible for developing novel therapeutics for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. We are involved in the selection and advancement of targets, biomarkers and mechanism of action studies for pipeline compounds.

Are you someone with a deep understanding of in vitro assay development?

We are looking for you to design, develop and validate cell-based functional assays to test and analyze bioactivity of experimental autoimmune/inflammation therapeutics; investigate the mechanism of action; and ultimately deliver preclinical evidence for future clinical testing.

Basic Qualifications:
  • B.S. or M.S. in biology or immunology with 3 or more years of work experience in an academic institute, biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
  • Experience with cell-based immunoassays, such as in vitro cellular activation and differentiation, immune cell phenotyping, proliferation, cytotoxicity, imaging and cytokine analysis.
  • Experience with isolation of primary cells from human, mouse and cyno blood and tissues
  • Experience with MSD, ELISA, FACS, Cytek, Luminex, microscopy, DNA/RNA isolation, qPCR, single cell assays, western blot etc.
  • Familiar with in vivo animal models
  • Experience in designing, screening and analyzing data for therapeutic compounds
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Motivation, drive and enthusiasm to deliver novel treatments to patients
  • Strong background in immunology and cell biology
  • Experience with immunologic assays
  • Strong background in designing, conducting, and analyzing FACS based experiments.
  • Ability to independently design and execute experiments, analyze, interpret and present experimental data
