Lilly is expanding its manufacturing footprint in Indiana by investing in two new manufacturing sites in Indiana’s LEAP Lebanon Innovation and Research District in Boone County. These new sites will support increased demand for existing medicines and play a key role in bringing our robust clinical pipeline to people around the world. These expansions will position Lilly as a leader in manufacturing technology within the pharmaceutical industry.

The community outreach and onboarding associate supports the development and maintenance of relationships with key community leaders, organizational partners, site Leadership and Lilly employees. The role also supports continuing onboarding activities as the site moves through project delivery phases (construction, operational readiness, operational).

Responsibilities:

Community Outreach:

  • Within the strategic framework for Lebanon community outreach, the associate is responsible for planning and implementing employee volunteer and community outreach related projects, events, and activities.
  • The associate is responsible for building and using corporate and community partnerships within the local area.
  • Lead the tactical planning, financial management and execution of community outreach collaborations through various projects and events. This includes coordination and leadership of site charitable contributions.
  • Responsible for charitable donation review, funding approval, notification process and impact tracking of donations.
  • Serve on the Global Day of Service Lead Team and provide project support for signature and independently led projects (e.g. training, technology).

Site Onboarding:

  • Serve as single point of contact to ensure programs, facilities, and technologies are ready for new employees
  • Engage with the new hires and make sure they feel welcomed and supported through their journey
  • Introduce new hires to the Site and ensure new hires are connected to site resources including Teams pages, distribution lists, etc.
  • Coordinate training facilities; provide direction and strategy for onsite support
  • Provide scheduling, roster, and communication support for all phases of onboarding
  • Partner with Learning & Development to define and complete onboarding training including overall Lilly, culture, Team Lilly, Safety and Compliance.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Skills/ Preferences

  • Education or experience in communication, journalism, or public relations
  • Previous community engagement experience
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Teamwork / Collaboration skills
  • Solid project management skills

Additional Information

  • Some community meetings are held after normal business hours.
