Functional Learning Partner - CMC Science College

The Role:
Reporting to the VP of Learning, this role supports the CMC Teams with their learning roadmap, and execution / delivery. Accountable for defining a multi-year learning and development roadmap, skills plan, and collaborating with external and internal resources to design and deliver this plan. The functional learning partner for CMC will be responsible to build an internal and external engagement curriculum that keeps Modernas team on the cutting edge of biotechnology manufacturing skills and capabilities.

Heres What Youll Do:

• Define learning skills plan for CMC functional area, working with stakeholders to develop a vision for the learning strategy for that group globally which currently include Technical Development, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology, Global Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Environment, Health & Safety, CMC Strategic Ops and Security)

• Manage end-to-end learning portfolio in specific functional / business area, including partner and vendor management. Bring in operational improvements to learning delivery and execution.

• Work with internal and external partners to design, deliver and manage functional learning programs for CMC team. Understand landscape of all training especially those required for GmP and other compliance driven offerings to ensure content is accurate, relevant, and delivered in the best modality to support the material and the learner.

• Measure and report on impact and ROI of programs, maintaining dashboard that communicates impact and progress of our learning programs

• Work with CMC college dean and functional leadership teams to develop a coherent learning and upskilling plan, focused on the core skills aligned to talent strategy and long-range plan

• Drive alignment with corporate learning strategy, platforms, and systems

• Align new hire onboarding in CMC to corporate onboarding, looking at overall new hire experience.

• Represent Moderna in externally facing events

• Facilitate and teach functional specific learning programs and courses for CMC team

• Drive operational excellence and standardization in functional learning programs for CMC organization

• Plan and manage events for CMC team and external partners

• Manage compliance and required learning management and reporting

• Innovation in learning modalities and learner experience, including micro-learning, virtual learning, instructor led training, training measurement and others

• Experience with learning platforms such as LMS and LxP

• Some experience with scientific debate

• Experience and background in biological science and/or communicating complicated scientific concepts to diverse audiences is strongly preferred.

• Experience or knowledge of robotics, AI, advanced manufacturing

• GmP knowledge preferred

• Minimum basic understanding of GxP and interplay between learning and requirements
