Job Description

OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

Oversees Product Management, Engineering, and QA teammates across different stages of project delivery. Defines optimal processes for hand-off between teams and shared services teams such as PMO, architecture, and support. Acts as liaison between different teams to build partnerships and develop solutions. Manages vendor partner delivery for portfolio.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for the development, growth & management of products

  • Leading and supervising a team of product owners and engineers focused on day-to-day execution

  • Works with vendor partners to organize work and ensure projects are completed according to requirements

  • Identify opportunities to improve and refine the team’s processes, and implement those improvements

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify how technology can enable the business

  • Build strong in-house Product Management and Engineering capability through development of COE

  • Ensure delivery is maximized through team structure, requirements documentation, Agile methodology, and automated quality assurance processes

  • Work with business and technology leaders brainstorming solutions, developing strategic business cases & building digital roadmaps with a focus on execution

  • Optimize hand-offs and work collaboratively with Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Security, CAB, and Support teams

  • Drive programs and projects through:

    • Leading multi-disciplined, cross functional teams in building capabilities and delivering results

    • Expertly controlling project financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, managing purchase orders & accruals for both Capex & Opex expenditures

    • Provide coaching to business and technology resources managing smaller projects within the larger portfolio

    • Maintain/develop strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate successful collaborations

DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS

Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise

  • Good understanding of the available Digital technology platforms and their applicability to PDT

  • Experience in system testing, validation, problem resolution, and training.

  • Gather, understand, and document business processes, objectives, specifications, and requirements on medium/large size projects.

  • Working knowledge of: SCRUM, Agile Methodologies, Change Management, Project Management

  • Strategic planning capability combined with an outstanding ability to drive execution with a focus on directing operational enhancements to increase quality and effectiveness.

  • Proven ability to remove roadblocks and pivot quickly with shifting priorities and solve problems with a quantitative approach.

Leadership

  • Is financially savvy and able to integrate mid and long range strategy into the greater strategic objectives of Takeda.

  • Has led DDT initiatives

  • Has successfully led a highly visible, complex project

  • Experience working within a complex organization and building strong cross-functional relationships with key partners and motivate teams across functions and regions at all levels without direct authority.

  • Demonstrated ability to create a climate where people are motivated to do their best and teams apply diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals. .

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, lead, and develop teams and have the managerial courage to make and stand by difficult decisions.

  • Record of attracting and developing strong analytic talent with a proven ability to grow and develop others.

  • Comfortable making decisions with large sweeping impacts for PDT DDT and Takeda as a whole

  • Demonstrated ability to create frameworks and plans where nothing exists

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of the mid and long range strategy, and the ability to manage issues and risks related to the implementation of initiatives and strategies.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • 10+ years IT software delivery experience

  • 5+ years of leadership experience

  • Experience within a major global healthcare multi-site company preferred

  • Must possess a proven track record of building and leading high-performance teams, as defined by business results.

  • BS or BA degree required

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Travel to various meetings or client sites, including overnight trips. International travel will be required.

This position is currently classified as "hybrid" in accordance with Takeda's Hybrid and Remote Work policy.

Base Salary Range: $160,300.00 to $229,000.00. Employees may also be eligible for Short Termand Long-Term Incentive benefits. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision,Life Insurance, 401(k), Charitable Contribution Match, Holidays, Personal Days & Vacation,Tuition Reimbursement Program and Paid Volunteer Time Off.

The final salary offered for this position may take into account a number of factors including, butnot limited to, location, skills, education, and experience.
