Summary of Position:

ReCode Therapeutics is seeking an experienced cell culture researcher to join the team developing cell-based and biochemical assays to support lead molecule development and optimization. This individual will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including (but not limited to):

  • Culture, maintenance, and QC of a variety of mammalian cell lines and primary cells.
  • Method development for functional readouts.
  • Support drug screening efforts and proof of concept studies.
  • Perform experiments and analyze data with minor supervision.
  • Maintain thorough and detailed electronic lab notebooks and documentation records 
  • Contribute to lab management activities
  • Communicate regularly with team members regarding project progress
  • Present data at group meetings Coordination with fellow researchers both to plan for cell culture requirements on a weekly and monthly basis and to assist with their cell line needs


    Qualifications:

    • BS/MS in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field and 4 years of hands-on experience in industry
    • Demonstrated high level expertise and proficiency in mammalian cell culture.
    • Experience establishing cell lines from clinical samples and/or with 3D tissue culture models is a plus.
    • Laboratory experience with a variety of techniques in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry such as mammalian cell culture, Western blot, qRT-PCR, DNA/RNA purification and analysis, sequencing, flow cytometry.
    • Hands-on experience with microscopy and immunofluorescence is a plus.
    • Solid organizational skills including attention to details and multi-tasking skills.
    • Excellent data analysis and computer skills.
    • Demonstrated ability and passion for working in a fast paced, multidisciplinary small team environment.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Salary Range: $80-90K*

    *Please note that for remote positions, salary may be adjusted for cost of living
