Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated, Cell Therapy Specialist (Manuf) to join our newly formed Manufacturing team at our brand new facility in Alameda, CA.
 
The Cell Therapy Specialist will perform all tasks associated with the manufacture of clinical product following batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe and compliant operations as well as works as part of a team to execute cGMP runs in close collaboration with MSAT, Materials Management, Quality Control and Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities:
  • Routinely monitors, cleans, prepares, and operates manual/automated cell processing, cell expansion and filling equipment in Grade B/C clean rooms
  • The manufacturing associate (Cell Therapy Specialist) will perform and/or verify all tasks associated with the manufacture of clinical product following batch records and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe and compliant operations as well as works as part of a team to execute GMP runs in close collaboration with Materials Management, Quality Control, Quality Assurance and MSAT
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures, batch records, deviations and change controls
  • Perform process improvement studies under the supervision of senior associates
  • Maintain appropriate inventories of material and supplies within the cleanroom areas to support manufacturing activities
  • Strict adherence to SOPs and cGMP regulations, the ability to accurately complete documentation associated with clinical manufacturing
  • Successfully troubleshoot processing and equipment issues

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree OR
  • AA Degree with 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical / biotechnology or manufacturing cGMP environment
  • High School Degree with 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical / biotechnology or manufacturing cGMP environment
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift over 20 lbs, stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, climb, and or reach for 70% of a shift with aseptic gowning

Salary and Benefits:
  • Compensation for this role includes base salary, annual target bonus and equity
  • The base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000. Starting pay is determined by multiple job-related factors including a candidate’s skills, education and experience level, benchmark, and internal parity
