Financial Analyst Internship

NextCure, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst Intern to support the Finance Team with financial valuation models, bank analyst reports, and other ad-hoc analysis. This is an excellent opportunity if you seek an FP&A or i-banking career. It will give you opportunities to gain practical experience in corporate financial planning & analysis, financial modeling, asset valuation, biotech business, and drug R&D process, and potentially more.

As a Financial Analyst Intern, subject to the NextCure Intern Agreement, the primary duties of the internship will include:

• Support financial valuation models
• Consolidate bank analyst reports
• Support budgeting/forecasting process
• Other ad-hoc analysis

Internship Requirements:

• Minimum completion of sophomore year and currently enrolled in an academic institution; Junior or first-year graduate students with finance major are preferable
• Major in finance and strong knowledge of discounted cash flow model
• Interest in the biotech sector, willing to learn the drug R&D process
• Very good at MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Good analytical and interpersonal skills, and proactive nature
• The role requires on-site but will be provided flexibility if needed
• Biotech experience is a plus but not required

The internship is currently set for 6 months but might consider an extension. This is a part-time (up to 30 hr/week) internship that will be compensated.
