The Role:

As a Senior Director, Alliance Management you will be a core part of the Life Edit team who in concert with the Business Development team will play a key role in establishing and growing relationships with Partners. This role reports into the Senior Vice President Corporate Development and Operations

Responsibilities

  • The core responsibility for the Alliance Manager is the development and growth of the partnership. The Alliance Manager provides a single point of contact for the Partners facilitating efficient and effective communication, ensuring the partner needs are communicated internally and addressed appropriately.
  • The Alliance Manager seeks to understand cultural similarities and differences between organizations and uses the knowledge to improve working mechanisms between teams and monitors the alliance progression and communicates results internally.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts by both the partner and Life Edit
  • Educate and guide the Life Edit team on contractual provisions and strategic aspects of the partnership
  • Enable and support information and data exchange between Life Edit and its partners
  • Enable cross-company planning with other ElevateBio business and technical areas as needed
  • Implement and manage governance models called for in an agreement
  • Provide meeting management support including meeting planning, scheduling, facilitation, documentation and outcomes communication
  • Assist in the establishment of company best practices and tools to optimize our partnerships

Basic Qualifications

  • Scientific degree relevant to pharmaceutical R&D (Ph.D., PharmD or MD)
  • 10 or more years of experience in the Alliance Management or Program Management in the Pharmaceutical Industry focused on Discovery and Preclinical Development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Gene editing therapeutic or in vivo gene therapy discovery and development
  • Finance or Corporate Development background with program management experience
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to facilitate collaboration, effectively work on cross-functional teams, possess strong interpersonal skills and be capable of interface with the entire organization.
  • Excellent presentation, problem solving, risk analysis and critical thinking skills
