As a Sr. Research Associate in the Flow Cytometry Core group, you will contribute to the operations and management of various state-of-the-art flow cytometers. Candidates must demonstrate teamwork, initiative and exhibit moderate to high level of independence.

Your key responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Works in a GMP/GCP/GLP/CLIA regulated environment and is responsible for following all applicable regulations
• Perform day-to-day instrument calibrations on flow cytometers and other general instrument QC and maintenance per work instructions, SOPs or experimental design
• Assist and support laboratory scientists with instrument issues and operational procedures
• Responsible for reagent orders, preparation of buffers and antibody cocktails
• Work directly with external vendors to resolve reagent issues and service engineers to troubleshoot instruments
• May contribute to the writing of work instructions, SOPs or experimental design

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $54,300 and $81,500 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum Requirements:

What you’ll bring to the role:
• BS/BA with scientific emphasis with minimum 2 years experience or MS with no experience or Associate degree with minimum 4 years of experience may be considered
• Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to utilize molecular and/or cellular biology techniques associated with sample testing in a clinical laboratory setting
• Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to learn new skills and core competences in flow cytometry
• Ability to analyze data using simple statistical methodologies
• Meticulous attention to details and team player

Desirable requirements:
• Basic knowledge and understanding of cell characterization assays directly applicable to the research services provided by Navigate (tissue culture, cellular biological techniques such as flow cytometry, cell isolation procedures, IHC, etc.) is strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience in handling human specimens is strongly preferred
