Engineer I/II/III

The Opportunity

CSL Seqirus is looking for a process engineer to be a part of the Fill Finish equipment engineering team. In the role you will provide technical/engineering support for site manufacturing operations, including labeling, packaging, and inspection equipment within the Fill Finish and Bulk Manufacturing areas.

Your responsibilities will include equipment/process troubleshooting, ongoing performance analysis and implementation of new technologies to improve overall equipment reliability. Additional responsibilities will include working with automation, MS&T, and other engineering teams to improve processes.

You will report to the Sr. Manager, Engineering. This position is located at our facility in Holly Springs, NC.

• Troubleshoot equipment related issues and develops sound engineering solutions to address identified problems for assigned systems
• Work with internal manufacturing, QA, MS&T, validation, and EHS personnel to achieve project and production goals
• Support site reliability efforts by monitoring key equipment performance variables, and identify and address issues before they cause unplanned equipment downtime
• Engage with both internal maintenance personnel and external vendors for issue resolution
• Initiate change controls for equipment modifications
• Initiate (DR) investigations to adequately identify root cause and implement appropriate corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs) to prevent recurrence
• Participate in site audits by health authorities or other regulatory agencies (e.g. OSHA)
• Provide engineering support for the technology transfer of new products into existing manufacturing operations

Education

Bachelor's in Engineering required. Mechanical, chemical, electrical or computer science technology discipline preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 1+ years' related industry experience required, preferred 5+ years' experience with Fill Finish equipment.
• Knowledge of aseptic filling, visual inspection, packaging, and/or inspection equipment and processes.
• Experience with work order, change management, deviation and CAPA systems preferred.
• Former experience using SAP preferred.
• Understanding of operating languages and software controlled equipment required.
