OPPORTUNITY
The Facilities and Lab Operations Associate I will support our expanding equipment and facilities needs as our researchers develop CRISPR-based technologies and products. This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Lab Operations. Responsibilities include maintenance of lab equipment, general facility maintenance, and consumable stocking. The person in this role must have a service-based mentality and a proclivity towards action and flexibility as daily activities could be varied. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Meet vendors for lab gasses and monitor gas inventory
  • Maintain the remote equipment monitoring system
  • Communicate with building engineer for electrical/HVAC/plumbing issues
  • Work with outside contractors to add facility upgrades
  • Meet vendors for equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Maintain freezer defrost program
  • Calibrate in-house temperature probes for cold storage, ovens and incubators
  • Schedule and ensure completion of equipment calibration and maintenance activities
  • Set up, maintain, and renew vendor service contracts
  • Respond to lab operations’ service tickets
  • Move equipment between labs as needed
  • Test safety showers and eyewash stations
  • Support restocking of consumables and emptying waste for lab as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of industry experience
  • Familiarity with Equipment Management Software
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience working in a lab environment
  • Prior experience with BMRAM
  • Strong desire to learn and develop the skills and experience necessary to meet the rapid growth in needs as the company grows
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver excellent service and results

Base Salary Range: $58,272 - $64,406

The listed base salary range is for Mammoth employees in the Bay Area. Actual base salary will be determined by geographic work location, relevant professional experience, applicable skills, and internal equity. The base salary range for those working remotely outside of the San Francisco Bay Area may differ and will be determined by industry market data for the role and specific region.
