SUMMARY

The Senior Value Evidence Liaison position is responsible for scientific and strategic relationships with customer stakeholders at priority accounts. The Senior Value Evidence Liaison works closely with Market Access and Medical Affairs colleagues to ensure that key value evidence is conveyed to policy makers with the goal of ensuring access for patients to the medications that will improve their lives, as well as to translate population health management and quality improvement evidence that supports actions and decisions by stakeholders.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides timely clinical, economic and scientific product updates proactively or in response to unsolicited requests to formulary decision makers or similar entities.

  • Partners effectively and compliantly with commercial counterparts to support dissemination of value evidence to payers and policy makers.

  • Provides actionable insight from field interactions to inform strategic evidence generation decisions.

  • Establishes strong cross-functional teamwork with field based commercial account team(s) and other field medical and headquarter teams to effectively meet customer needs through a coordinated approach and to specifically support areas of health outcomes, real-world evidence (RWE), and scientific collaborations within those accounts.

  • Develops and maintains scientific relationships with customer stakeholders, including senior leaders and executives.

  • Applies a strong understanding of US healthcare industry trends, and in-depth knowledge of the US healthcare delivery system, including payers and organized providers, in support of field activities.

  • Ensures value evidence is available to relevant stakeholders within the account to inform healthcare policy decisions.

  • Translates data driven evidence that aligns with customer’s needs into actionable information for that customer.

  • Applies health outcomes programs or research findings to ensure that market access and policy decisions are made based upon best available evidence.

  • Masters the clinical and health economic evidence and effectively communicates complex material to a wide variety of audiences.

  • Communicates complex data in ways that customers understand.

  • Works effectively alongside commercial and other functions to develop robust account plans which include RWE/HEOR projects based on identified opportunities within selected accounts.

  • Provides insights from external customers to home office-based HEOR and Medical teams to ensure strategies and tactics are robust in filling key evidence gaps from a payer and health system perspective.

  • Executes and documents customer interactions in the appropriate systems and tools (i.e. Veeva CRM) in accordance with compliance guidelines.

  • Communicates account and project activities and provide status updates routinely to key internal stakeholders.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

  • Accredited Master’s level degree

  • 3+ years experience in HEOR or related field

  • 1+ years experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry in payer facing role

  • Thorough understanding of FDMA 114, 21st Century Cures, new draft FDA Guidances on Payor Communication and Unapproved Uses, as well as their implications for the dissemination of healthcare economic information to the payer audience

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to discuss healthcare delivery processes and inter-relationships between different customer-types in the healthcare marketplace.

  • Ability to operate in a complex, ever-changing environment.

  • Ability to work within a matrixed reporting structure with specific duties to HEOR.

  • Knowledge of industry best practices related to HEOR activities.

  • Strong business acumen.

  • Ability to influence without authority.

  • Ability to effectively communicate clinical, economic concepts and evidence-based concepts.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

  • Doctoral degree in relevant field

  • CNS experience

 

TRAVEL

  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 50% domestically.  Occasional international travel may be required.

 

The range displayed is a national range, and if selected for this role, may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s geographical location, qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. Salary Pay Range: $170,000 - $210,000 and eligibility for a 15% bonus target based on company and individual performance, and eligibility to participate in the company’s long-term incentive plan.
