About the role:

The Director will lead US HCP marketing efforts for four brands indicated for primary immunodeficiency (PI). This includes the development and execution of brand strategies and the leadership of two direct reports. The director will work with the other US marketing team members, sales, global marketing, U.S. medical affairs, managed markets and patient services. As part of the Immunodeficiency Marketing Team, you will report to the Head of Immune Deficiency Marketing Lead.

How you will contribute:
  • Lead, inspire and develop a motivated team of HCP marketers responsible for developing and implementing HCP marketing strategies and programs that best position Takeda's primary immunodeficiency (PI) portfolio for market leadership

  • Use an insights-driven approach, develop and execute omni-channel marketing strategies and tactics, including key branded resources for HCPs, for use across both personal and non-personal promotional channels

  • Use analytics to measure the impact and effectiveness of strategies, tactics and brand communications

  • Be a strategic partner to the medical and global teams

  • Partner with sales leadership and sales training to ensure execution of brand strategies and tactics

  • Work with internal stakeholders including: Market insights, Medical, Advocacy, Managed Markets, Sales, Patient Services, Regulatory, Legal/Compliance & Market Insights

  • Work with and manage external vendors and agency partners

  • Ensure all resources and programming are in alignment with Takeda Compliance, Legal, and Regulatory requirements

  • Manage HCP marketing budget

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Must have in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing and sales

  • Must have strong leadership competencies and ability to lead and develop a high performing team

  • Must be results-oriented and able to perform in fast paced environments, exhibit leadership skills, and be able to influence without authority

  • Strong communication and presentation skills required

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills required

  • Can collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Is adaptable and open to an environment of change

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • (Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • 10+ years of US pharmaceutical marketing experience required; experience across multiple diseases and brands preferred

  • Experience working in a marketing role in specialty and/or rare disease preferred

  • HCP brand marketing experience required

  • Pharmaceutical field sales experience preferred

  • Management / team leadership experience preferred

  • Expertise in development and execution of multi-channel marketing programs (print, in-office, non-personal) required

  • Digital marketing experience required

  • Experience executing congress marketing tactics preferred

  • Agency management experience (briefing/execution/budgetary oversight) required

  • ~20% Travel to conferences and national sales meetings
