Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for preparing and examining financial records, ensuring records are acuate and the taxes are paid, managing accounts payable and payroll for Zai Lab US entity.

• Prepare journal entries, ensure monthly end closing is timely and accurate.
• Reconciling the company’s bank statements and bookkeeping ledgers
• Prepare weekly payment via wiring/ACH/Billpay etc.
• Handle tax filings for US entity
• Manage accounts payables, communicate with vendors for invoice and payment information.
• Provide payroll budget and forecast and process US employees’ payroll data
• Ensure internal control process is effectively executed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or Accounting with 2 years’ finance experiences; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.  CPA preferred
• Finance experience in biotech/pharma industry and international experience preferred
• Familiar with SAP and other accounting tools
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and navigate through ambiguity and drive change
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative and innovative team player with a positive approach and a focus on business solutions
• Fluency in both Mandarin and English preferred
