  1. JOB SUMMARY

The Materials Planner is a hands-on function responsible for the supply of raw materials to support the production schedule at the Camden site to meet sales and service level objectives. The incumbent is responsible to have the correct materials in the correct quantities QA released and in unrestricted inventory in the Camden warehouse two weeks prior to the scheduled Fill date.

This position is a full-time, partly remote position.

  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Responsible for MRP planning in SAP for all raw materials for the Camden site and for periodic review of safety stocks and other MRP master data.
    • Serve as raw materials readiness SME on the Tier 2 Raw Materials team or other teams by providing any escalations or updates required.
    • Create and maintain Stock Transfer Orders for movement of materials between the Central Warehouse and Camden Warehouse.
    • Ensure readiness of all raw materials two weeks prior to scheduled Fill or Packaging production.
    • Monitor materials for purchase requisition conversion in the Central Warehouse. 
    • Meet regularly with Procurement to review any inventory shortages or overages observed.
    • Maintain awareness of any physical space constraints for raw materials with Central and Camden Warehouse management and manage materials accordingly.
    • Communicate risks and/or changes in the supply of raw materials which will impact the production schedule. 
    • Inform Schedulers and Sr. Manager of Supply Planning of any raw material issues requiring escalation.
    • Perform other responsibilities and special projects as required.
    • Help to Research raw material issues and participate in developing solutions to moderately complex problems.

     

    Compliance

    • Ensure maximum compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, Sarbanes Oxley, Government Contractor Compliance and other areas of mandatory regulatory oversight.
    • Initiate, route, and complete applicable Quality Notifications including Deviations, CAPA’s, and Change Controls as needed.
    • Create/ revise Departmental Standard Operating Procedures as needed.

    III. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 2-4 years of Bio Pharma planning experience
    • 5 years of SAP inventory and MRP/production planning experience
    • Strong Analytical and Communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic environment
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Excel proficiency

     

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Long range planning experience
    • Experience with Stock Transfers
    • APICS certification
    • College Degree in Supply Chain or related field
