Digital for medical team is accountable for leading the strategy, design, and implementation of digital platforms supporting Medical Affairs.

As the Digital Product Owner for external engagement platforms, you will report to the Sr. Director of DfMA, and define the product vision and roadmap in alignment with digital strategy and Medical Affairs KPIs for multiple external engagement platforms. Your responsibility will be to identify, define, and architect digital solutions for Medical Affairs external engagement strategy. In addition, as a member of the cross-functional delivery team, you will support the implementation of the defined solutions focusing on end-user engagement and value realization. Youll own the development of innovative products in collaboration with our engineering team as well as external technology providers. You will bring full understanding of your business partners needs and develop a priority-based roadmap which you will drive to success. You will principally lead workshops to elicit and understand our stakeholders' needs.

Medical Affairs external engagement platforms are being designed to provide innovative and frictionless experience for external stakeholders and utilize next generation technology infrastructure such as AI, bots, and integration with enterprise applications. As a technology expert in digital for Medical Affairs you will support our Medical Affairs organization in the constant exploration and evaluation of market offerings in a global setting.

Here's What You'll Do:

  • Own Medical Affairs external engagement platforms vision and roadmap

  • Provide strategic partnership to business partners and digital functional leads by educating on the technology landscape, performing proof of concept to demonstrate functionality, and pilots to prove selection of the best technology

  • Work with and manage a team of internal and external 3rd party resources (vendors) performing analysis, architecture, design, and delivery of solutions in the Medical Affairs space

  • Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost-effectiveness and systems flexibility

  • Conduct Vendor and Technology evaluations, ensuring tech stack meets Moderna's Architecture specifications and appropriate data handling and cybersecurity practices.

  • Collaboratively ideate and design innovative solutions with our informatics, engineering, data science, and AI teams and external partners.

  • Work with our Enterprise Architecture team to ensure the application components align with specific architecture needs and meet performance goals.

  • Demonstrate functional expertise, and offer pragmatic guidance, including pros and cons of various options

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in overseeing and delivering digital products with background that comprises both solid business understanding and high-quality digital product delivery

  • 5+ years of experience in life sciences/pharmaceutical/biotech industry

  • Global product development experience is a huge plus

  • Relevant experience with Medical Affairs a plus with knowledge of health care professional engagement systems, customer relationship management applications, and medical information technologies

  • Experience with Agile & Lean delivery principles

  • Expertise in defining and implementing advanced analytics and AI/ML-based solutions in real-world evidence settings. Adept at collaborating across clinical, patient safety, medical, commercial organizations; bridging the gap and connecting dots between various functions.

  • Expertise in eliciting user stories and translating those into a digital mindset.

  • Ability to practice design thinking and human-centered design to drive innovative solutions

  • Ability to identify opportunities to use data as an asset to drive operations efficiency and generate novel insights to accelerate processes

  • As a technologist, you know your craft and are fluent in the digital world. You have first-hand knowledge of SaaS, cloud, and AI technologies in a customer-centric environment.

  • You work independently yet engage proactively with team members, colleagues, and stakeholders to align and drive solutions forward.

  • You don't hesitate to dive in and work alongside your team. You can effectively manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, and you can navigate ambiguity and lead a team effectively.

  • You put the team before tasks by collaborating actively with all team members and supporting them.

  • Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent required. Master's preferred.
